it's the fact that he forgot his father's face is what causing this trauma to trigger. he and his mother has live so many years suffering from his father's deeds yet all of them has shaped him into who he is rn. not being able to remember the key to your life has made a big impact in his life, leaving a hole so hollow that made him suffer even more.
