I wouldnt say allat but idk not everyone gets a crush as a kid but I think the point is that most people do. It's not anything weird in stories because it's common irl. I think if it was a normal story where the fl didn't know who her son was destined to be with it would be weirder for her to push a marriage agenda but even then it's kinda common for people to do that like "do you wanna get married to them?"
