People do a lot of things when they're in distress and her smiling might be a way of a defense mechanism maybe her holding on to her mother's last words is her salvation she has been tortured and beaten for years

That I don't know but maybe we're going to see her character break and that's why she smiles when looking at chapter one and she kills those people and she has to smile on her face Maybe the smile is a double meaning for a person who's broken and for the last word she heard from her mother

I used to laugh like the Joker, especially when nervous. So in a serious situation, I either looked like I wasn't taking it seriously or I was crazy. It took a lot of effort in my late teens and early twenties to not do that. I'm sure many children on the playground thought I was creepy. I didn't have friends until middle school.
So I sympathize with her smiling in those situations.
I mean, i do too sometimes when I'm extremely nervous and rubbed my thighs too with sweaty palms....
But not when I'm in pain.... I cry when I'm in pain... I don't smile.... Coz it's not a situation where i should.... That's why i said it's crazy....

He doesn’t deserve anything. He had regrets, but he had thousands of chances to treat her well, be on her side, and try to win her over before she died, and he always did nothing. He was either aware of the abuse she endured from the stepmothers, or so severely negligent that that he never even noticed. Either way, he’s complicit.
He basically purchased her from her father and never even bothered to try to woo or romance her after the fact. He didn’t support her in a single conflict for the entire time they were married. He had every opportunity to put in the bare minimum effort to create a decent relationship and put her last every single time.
Poor him with a shortened life. As far as I’m concerned, that’s not even enough to make it even. He chose to purchase her, wasted his chance to be happy with her, and even after he got her a second chance is harassing her without actually trying to apologize or win her over.
He had way too many chances....
I've read a spoiler somewhere that it was his third time turning back time... THREE TIMES... And he still couldn't get it right....
A side effect of that is Olivia regaining her memories in the previous timeline....

Sorry but just because someone turns time for another person but doesn’t fix the problem on their end doesn’t mean they can get a second chance.
If someone treats you badly turn back time for you would you go to them? No, that’s common sense. He has had multiple chances to resolve their problems or try with the relationship but he neglected her and her feelings. Even if he did turn back time, it doesn’t give him a right to interfere. I know it costed him his life but he’s just plain trashy
