I don't know whether what the scum said is true or not but if the duke did kill Luca's dad, maybe he intended for Rudiger to inherit his place...since Rudiger is the son of the woman he loves...Jonas' mom must've been an arranged marriage in the eyes of the duke but Jonas' mom must've loved him...but the duke loves Rudiger's mom but Rudiger's mom loves Jonas' mom and disciplined Rudiger not to covet what he shouldn't have leading to his current personality....kinda like a love triangle....i also even have a feeling that the duke is the one who killed Jonas' mom....

Apparently Jonas' mom also played around. And Jonas isn't actually the duke's son. He also hated Rudy's mom and I think he might've tried to kill her

1. That scum dad must've ordered her mom to poison or sabotage Kian which in turn got her to be executed for harming a noble and i also think that bitchy stepmom must've instigated it.... And sadly, Kian didn't know that the woman was her mother....
2. Or it was Kian's dad who ordered the execution of her mother and not Kian himself....
