both characters have a lot of depth which is great. so far this could make for an amazing storyline of change and growth. i hope the ml overcomes a lot of his barriers. sometimes the right partners really do provide us with a positive space that aids in journey of growth. i hope the mc also realizes that he can’t hold himself AND the ml up without being a detriment to himself as well.
maybe reading into too much but i love the themes in this story about loneliness, death and young adulthood. really good so far.
at some level there’s a collective consciousness from a lot of the ppl who read BLs like this. the classic toxic seme, dubcon dynamics are always gonna be at play, we KNOW that. but i will say for myself, i was slightly taken aback by this new chap. this is a heavy theme. having a human reaction to seeing an easily sympathetic character essentially being called an object, having their consent taken from them in an instant (to our knowledge) and being humiliated is absolutely fine. the vast majority of us were not seeing that coming. and not all of us are 100% desensitized to the shit we read on here.
