i swear they crammed at least 3 novel chapters into this cuz that was a LOT of things j left out. necessary to the plot or not, there's sm about their character expansions & thought processes that's being left out j to get to the point/destination aka the ending. maybe some things don't contribute to the plot, but it contributes to their relationship & j makes the characters feel more fleshed out. rn the characters not only fall flat, but it's like they're j puppets & a means to an end :/ disappointing cuz the art is beautiful & kml was a much greater predecessor compared to this. i wonder if anything's happening to the author behind the scenes?

i'm facing a slump myself, but it's due to my upcoming bar exam. it's different, but this work made me feel like i shouldn't allow the exam to push me under & j let myself drown in it. it made me feel like there's fresh air up there, if i j sit up a lil' straighter, if i j turned around from bed rotting in my room & face the sky & sun instead. it made me feel like there's so much out there in the world that i'm limiting myself from, j because i'm refusing to look away out of fear

i can see sooo many familiar tropes/routes capable of playing out, but i'm j so worried because i'm quite endeared with all of the characters. even the side characters are nice & likable, & their presence is j right according to the story's flow. i j hope i won't have to spend the next 5 years praying every update for them to finally be happy like i gotta do with multiple other stories... i j want the characters i like to be happy man...

against abe no seime ("ans"). ans might have the divine power of clairvoyance, considering haruaki's connection of "clairvoyance" to his memories of ans being able to see haruaki even in memories, etc.
i believe he may have "seen" or "had a feeling" that douman (principal) was going to become the principal of a youkai school. ans' goal to "spread knowledge" to youkai & all, which he had shared with douman, if he really was a clairvoyant & could see his future-self, he would have seen himself capable of doing so in his reincarnation as haruaki. in connection to that, an alternative theory is that he simply saw himself as haruaki, & even if he didn't know douman would eventually become the principal of the school itself, he believed he, as haruaki, would become a youkais teacher nonetheless
so, to me, douman feels more like a "tool" to ans accomplishing his wish. while he did "win" against ans because he was the first to build a school & spread knowledge to youkai, i personally wouldn't say he "fully" won against ans in this small aspect, lol
it would be funny if he found out. considering this is a gag comic, he might j throttle haruaki's soul out of him to beat up ans himself, ditch him in the sea & then pull him up & put him back in haruaki & j say "oops, your soul tripped & fell <3"

Ouhh i was theorising that ans inspired douman into creating/spreading knowledge to the youkai and such because he asked the question whether youkai could come together and live peacefully (for lack of better words and don't wanna go back) and douman said smt along the lines of that's crazy
Maybe what lead to douman creating such a new society was because ans lead or gave him the idea of it, and ans gave him the idea of it was because he had the divine power?

idg why manager kim is trynna run away without yeowoon knowing? :/ especially because all the others know, so why does it seem like he's intentionally hiding it from yeowoon? iirc, it's not like he has personal beef with yeowoon or is bullying/ostracising him...? but it has been a while since i read their interactions, so i could be wrong
i'm very sensitive to animal abuse & get insanely triggered by it, & oh my god, i will MURDER THEM MYSELF FOR THOSE 2 OTHER CATS I'M GOING TO BEAT SOMEONE TF UP
