i can see sooo many familiar tropes/routes capable of playing out, but i'm j so worried because i'm quite endeared with all of the characters. even the side characters are nice & likable, & their presence is j right according to the story's flow. i j hope i won't have to spend the next 5 years praying every update for them to finally be happy like i gotta do with multiple other stories... i j want the characters i like to be happy man...

i believe he may have "seen" or "had a feeling" that douman (principal) was going to become the principal of a youkai school. ans' goal to "spread knowledge" to youkai & all, which he had shared with douman, if he really was a clairvoyant & could see his future-self, he would have seen himself capable of doing so in his reincarnation as haruaki. in connection to that, an alternative theory is that he simply saw himself as haruaki, & even if he didn't know douman would eventually become the principal of the school itself, he believed he, as haruaki, would become a youkais teacher nonetheless

so, to me, douman feels more like a "tool" to ans accomplishing his wish. while he did "win" against ans because he was the first to build a school & spread knowledge to youkai, i personally wouldn't say he "fully" won against ans in this small aspect, lol

i'm at my wits end here... i read this around around a decade ago & i only remember very few things about it & the fact i liked it a lot back then

1. setting: a special class made of influential people in a private (?) high school, so their class is very accommodating to their students' professional lives

2. main story: i could be mixing up their mc/ml roles, but the main pairing is basically a blonde (white-haired in manga) taller top & a shorter, black-haired bottom who's a celebrity. the story talks about his struggles with being a celebrity... i think... i really don't know except it frustrated me at some point

3. spin-off/side-story aka story igaf about more: it revolves around another pair in the class. A is a grey haired (manga-wise) bottom with a more feminine portrayal & B is a black haired top. A is a tsundere & i THINK B has some sort of protective streak... either for A or for the black-haired bottom of the main pairing, i forgot. A experiences jealousy due to B. i remember this scene explicitly, but while they're fucking after some back-&-forth with their relationship & they finally get together ambiguously, A says he'll never fall in love with B, anyone but B. iirc, A also j has a big thing for B calling him cute or some other feminine compliment

can you imagine my surprise when i started reading this only because i saw taejoo being a whipped, caring & loving alpha to euihyun in the later chapters & i, for some reason, did not think it could be otherwise in the beginning... i should've considered it more when i bypassed a "his character development is so good" comment & how the art is too...

other than that, tbh, i really loved the writing of this manhwa. i liked the rawness & vulgarity portrayed by society & its impacts to the victims. tbh, the way the author depitcs omegas here feels very akin to the way victims & women are treated irl, especially with the issues surrounding south korea's misogyny in the past few years. i went into this thinking it would be a nice, light read at 12 am but it was such a heavy, frustrating & anxious read until 4:30 am, lol, & i only finished faster because i skipped all of the sex. i feel like the sex was important here, but i was already anxious as is, i can't deal with the rape too. sometimes, i get frustrated with euihyun tbh, but again, it all turns back on to the author being so good at writing this realistically & if i take a step back & consider it all, euihyun has never been in the wrong. everyone around him is the problem, & euihyun was j pathetically abused into thinking otherwise
