What a heartwarming chapter. Damn. Seeing their reactions to grandfather's words, you can tell they didn't expect to hear them. Considering their past at the Camp, aside from 006 and 032, it's obvious that it has been a long time since they have been in contact with their own families. Hearing grandfather say that Ijin considers them as his family and therefore they're his family as well must have made them feel so many complicated emotions. I really really love this chapter for that. Tbh, I love most chapters with the Numbers lol. Still wish we could've seen them eating chicken together... Although them eating together in Ijin's home now kinda makes up for that.
Anyway, the first part of the chapter was sooo funny lololol. Not 002 treating matters related to 001 as a ‘mission’ again just so they have an excuse to do it and them ignoring 004 HAHAHAHAHA. Also, 008 is so cute seriously! Our gentle giant fr. The cat prints on his top? Adorable! And then, we have 004 who kept talking as if he didn't want to come but came while looking cool anyway. I get why some of the people here in the comments are disappointed with Camilla, but some of you are going too far. Wdym you don't feel bad that her stepdad and brother killed her now?
Right now, Camilla's only a student with no actual power/status for herself in their school. Even if she's the daughter of a duke, she'll be up against the student council president who also happens to be a daughter of a marquis (might not compare to a duke, but a very high status nevertheless). Camilla won't be able to stop this situation so easily without concrete evidence. Maybe if she tries to speak up, she could help her friend out once or a couple times. But who knows if they'll just start bullying Laila when Camilla's not around to protect her? Or Idk, it hasn't even been that long when Camilla herself was being ostracized by people. Do you really think the bullying would stop just because Camilla asks them to stop? Knowing the kind Laila, she'd probably not want Camilla to get involved and hurt because of her too. Besides, the target for bullying could just change to someone else. The cycle won't end and, like Camilla said, people would just brush the matter aside due to the bullies' high status.
If you have enough reading comprehension and common sense, you'd know it's not simply that Camilla's watching and waiting for the bullying to get worse before she takes action, she might be biding her time to collect the evidence needed to take down the student council to stop the bullying in its entirety. Even in the real world, just telling bullies to stop won't do anything. In fact, it could just make things worse. Like another comment here said, she's not a bystander. She's just not stupid nor reckless enough to do anything without any plans/evidence.
