My guess is the Original Dylan ‘from the novel’ didn’t love her sister the way MC loves and protects her, probably because Emily’s birth was her mother’s death so Novel Dylan secretly hated Emily or didn’t like her but when ML showed up she started eating vinegar regularly.
MC Dylan helped Emily grow up strong (Em was a weak child hint ‘was’) so Emily might end up being a strong mother at one point
