I really like your reaction actually! This is the second time I've read this manga because it was such a masterpiece, but your reaction was very honest. I felt the exact same way about the brothers as you -and about the girl too.
Then you come to see this whole manga is really about the ups and downs of relationships. It's about jealousy, atonement and forgiveness. And about how you never know what a person's been through. For example they might have pains we can't even see or know of.. Everyone's bound to make insensitive mistakes and there's nothing anyone can do to get rid of this; it's in human nature to misunderstand each other.. It would be wrong to accept or deny these mistakes, so in the end it usually boils down to either revenge or forgiveness.
