I'm sorry I never go through anything tho? I'm actually fortunate to be a woman because I was excepted to a college easier because of this. Our society treats men as disposables. Men have the highest work place accidents. The most suicides. In courts for family matters men are almost never sided with because judges have this sexist view that woman will always be better with they're kids than the man even though the women can literally be a drug addict. There was an experiment done. A woman punching and hitting a man fussing at him and they interviewed all the passersbyers as to why they didn't do anything and you know what all of them said? "I thought the man did something wrong" men get abused just as much as women yet when they do come out most of the time its not believed. There was case recently that proves how biased we are towards women, Amber Heard vs John Depp. Heard of this case? She accused him of abuse without evidence and immediately he was accused as a "wife beater". I don't go through shit. My mother doesn't go through shit 24/7. Every women I know doesn't go through SHIT. I don't wish to get told that my life is terrible when its not. Not only am I a woman im also bisexual yet my life has never been effected because of those two things. Yes our society was extremely sextet towards both of the sexes. Men forced to live one way and women forced to live another. Our society isn't perfect but almost no one experiences these things anymore its literally looked down upon.

I see your points, and you are right that there are situations where men are also at a detriment, but the people commenting about "our society" are talking about the systematic patriarchy that happened so long.
Some of the things you cited (the custody bias and the abuse erasure) stem from that same system, because women were seen as breeding machines who raised the children.
We have gotten to a place in society where women are now at more equal footing with men (but sill not completely, especially in situations of power/finance).
It is VERY IMPORTANT that we address the things you mentioned, but it is also important we address that 1 in 4 women are sexually assaulted, are often dismissed when expressing medical concerns (especially when pain is a symptom) by medical PROFESSIONALS, and the wage gap.
I think you make very good points, and maybe we are in a point in a society where saying "being a man is more advantageous" is getting less accurate, but we are nowhere near the point where it is inaccurate to the point you are implying.
In general day-to-day life, it is still more advantageous to be a male in concern to safety in public and ability to get a job. But you are absolutely correct that there are specific situations where being a woman is more suited to get what you want.

Literally no one in this comment section..the way you handle your trauma and assault is different from everyone else..there is always someone more priviledge then you..and you happen to be more priviledge..I agree women in men are equal..but they are not treated equal..I know that men suffer..and I never invalidated that...I lived in an all female household until my brother was born...I'm the middle child..I've seen alot of shit..I've had alot of experiences...and I'm also a minority..

I do not know their reasons but I do know is that the reasons why we think suicide is a bad thing is essentially because the bible said so and we feel the emotion called sadness if our loved one commited suicide and we never get to see them again. the fact that suicide is right or is it wrong is up to you to decide

I think your first comment was false...because if you read more then manga you would no that although men and women are different biologically..that doesnt change there rationality..I'm sorry to say but men are not stronger then women mentally or emotionally based of studies I have read about actual people and statistics women seem to be evolving faster then men. Studies in Georgia show that women are better at learning and expanding their minds they are usually very attentive and organized..and according to worldwide national IQ test taken I the USA, Canada, Europe, Argentina and other locations women are smarter then men. There are even studies that show how women handle stress, and trauma better then men..and I'm not joking when I say there are studies that show that women are becoming more beautiful while men arent..there are studies on how even though both of the 2 genders may experience an accident women are more likely to survive..and all though we have to work hard to get and keep a job studies show that since 2007 80 percent of the people losing their jobs are men..and although women have a higher chance if getting into to college the men in college have lower chances of actually getting the degree and graduating..I could go on in on..my point is research and dont just say anything...I think you worded your comment wrong..if you werent trying to offend anyone.

You said you had been accepted to college you're in because you're a woman.. did you pause to ponder WHY that is? Do you realize that affirmation is usually a reaction to a certain group of population having been actively held back before. adding to the difference in suicide completion versus attempts, I would have to double check this but I think that's also a result of the method used?
I think men who commit suicide are more likely to use methods of assured death (like guns) more so than women.

That too is because of patriarchy. The violence inflicted upon them is primarily by men, they don't have an emotional outlet cause they think being emotional and vulnerable is not "manly". Patriarchy treats women as third class citizen and men as that golden child whose emotional needs are not valued. Both suffer in different manners.
Also, the only reason men have higher suicide rates is cause they actually die doing it, women have the higher rate in attempts. There's a statistics given right above you.
