She tried in the beginning though. She escaped from the tower by her own actions. She kind of f*cked up when she landed on the prince's face. I think he held a bit of grudge for that & that might've been why he was ready to have her executed (massive overreaction). It was nice to see she at least got to try getting him struck by lightening for that--even if it backfired & now he's obsessed with her.
I kind of hope she gets to lightening him in the face for real next time they meet though! He tried to get her executed twice & was totally gonna keep her as his prisoner if she didn't turn out tobe a noble's daughter. She deserves to get him back properly for it. I'm 100% for the "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" philosophy!
