Taehwan is a major jerk rn and I've been saying this for 70 chapters now ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ I just knew he was too attractive to be nice and respectful. But we stan Esther is this house. Passive yet slightly aggressive queeeeen.

he honestly isn't a jerk. hes been through a lot and (as you find out in the raws) yeonwu betrays his trust. neither of them are innocent so lets not just victimize yeonwu. :)
people really are taking away all of yeonwoo's agency in this comic so far just to paint taehwan as some kind of demon. like i feel more upset about yeonwoo being turned into some innocent dumb baby than i am about taehwan being turned into a raging asshole but like i said in another comment. if all someone reads is the same shitty BL stories over and over then their brain will automatically try to categorize all BL stories and couples into the exact same paint by numbers plotlines and character boxes. even when they like Yeonwoo and taehwan clearly dont fit into them (which is obvious if a person is like actually paying attention while reading...)
I said 70 bc he has been mentioned throughout the story even though he hadn't explicitly been seen in earlier chapters. I just don't trust him enough right now until I get the full bsckstory bc I havent read the raws. I was just always sus of him bc usually in a lot of BL family members sometimes are used to drive the plot as being homophobic or to disapprove of relationships, even in straight couplings so it is only natural to be sus of a character that could potentially cause turmoil in a relationship that i am rooting for.
Oh I was never victimizing Yeonwu in my comment I just didn't like how Taehee has been acting these past couple of chapters. I would like to see why he is acting this way of course, but until this story is progressed to the point where we see character development from him and Yeonwu as well as a sort of redemption arc in his (Taehee's) homophobia, I'm gonna continue to not trust Taehee at this point.
we barely know a single thing about him before chpt 45 (when he finally appears in person) beyond htat alot of people knew and liked him when he was on campus and that he adores taehee to a point that its ridiculous. that's lit all we knew of him. so as far his actual presence he's been in 19 chpts...so not even 20 yet. (ur free not to trust him that wasnt what made me go ??? its just weird to say u thought he was bad news for ALL 70 chpts when he a faceless and generally harmless non entity for most of the story run of s1). and its fine if u havent read the raws, u dont need to read them to put his actions into context and realize he's...ultimately not done anything that bad? lol. (again i want to be clear, yall are free to not trust or like him anyway)i just feel like the rhetoric around taehwan is very weird as it seems less based on his actual actions or words and more on an assumption of what his character Might or Will be that yall have cobbled together from like 50 other BLs with superficially similar plotlines or characters as opposed to the actual story he exists in. (which u just admitted by saying just the fact that he existed as taehee's bro and didnt know about his crush meant that he would be an obstacle to their relationship when ultimately he barely was lol. they solved that misunderstanding so fast and now he's so supportive...idk i just dont get it i giss)
taehee is baby bro, u mean taehwan right? and we still dont know if homophobia is at all related to why he's on bad terms with yeonwoo. nor has he done anything requiring a redemption arc. cause it means he needs to make amends for wrongs committed which as of this point his only wrong that he committed that Hasnt been addressed is being cold and hostile to yeonwoo for again reasons taht we the readers are not yet privy to. like he obviously is going thru Something that needs to be dealt with but Yeonwoo isnt like...entitled to his friendship or attention even if he hadnt done anything to Taehwan. that said i DO think its fair to assume that whatever he's angry at Yeonwoo about may also be somewhat of a misunderstanding like the one he had with Dojin, not a spoiler! just my theory that most likely Yeonwoo made a mistake but Taehwan jumped to the worst conclusion from it and instead of trying to talk it out with Yeonwoo just cut ties permanently. and Yeonwoo (unlike Dojin) doesnt have the kind of personality or long term friendship/history with Taehwan to say...hit him in the face and tell him to get his shit together lol. and ofc we also see in the bar that Yeonwoo completely blames himself for whatever went wrong between them whereas Dojin was like I DID NOTHING WRONG U DBAG! (which he didnt ofc), so i hope at some point Yeonwoo gets to say his piece and be heard too (with or without book related violence involved lol). ahem anyway, here's hoping when we find out whatever it is that went down that it'll explain alot.

I just want everyone to make amends and for the story to finally unfold for me to truly trust any of these characters in this season of Banana Scandal. That being said, I totally agree that whatever Taehwan is going through to cause him to act so cold towards Yeonwoo is a factor in his character as of right now. Again I just want the fluff to start happening already bc everyone deserves to be happy in his beautiful story.
