The art is really good. The seme is hot as hell and the uke is cute. But for me, the plot is very basic. "Oh no! I owe someone now, I think it's okay for me to be manipulated and give him sexual service since he's the owner of the store I work for! Oops, I fell in love after the second time he kisses me when he saved me from a motorcycle accident, let's have sex and woah we're together now. Yay." All of that happened in like 15 chapters and that was the main couple,, so their story is already finished???? I don't know but this didn't give me emotions at all. Just sharing my thoughtsss please don't hate me for having a different opinion on a subjective matter.
i know it's early to judge but i'm currently nOT liVING for this uke ( ̄∇ ̄"), it's hot but i really barely see chemistry and possibility that this will blossom to romance
Before I say anything I totally respect your opinion. Of course I don’t know anything either yet, so far its been closer to pwp than anything. But what I think is the route this story is taking is that seme has this bdsm vision with uke. Uke only sleeps around bc he has trauma related to his bondage fetish (I assume his boyfriend didn’t listen to him and was way too rough making him not want to be open about his fetish and ruining his trust in ppl), so the seme is attracted to the uke but if he wants his vision to come true he’s going to have to work through the uke’s trauma together, teaching him that he can both trust people and be open about his fetish. I like that the uke isn’t your typical submissive type. Playboy x innocent puppy I think isn’t tooooooooo common in the yaoi world......or usually the roles are flipped where the seme plays around too much and the uke is an innocent puppy.
Personally I think they have good chemistry bc the puppy seme can help the uke work through his trauma with the power of being a decent human being lol
Honestly, this wasn't so mind-breaking and heart-clenching like the comments are trying to imply. I found Killing Stalking and Warehouse wayyyyyyyyyyy darker than this. I actually enjoyed reading this because of it's good and logical characters like how the MC really fights back or repels the emperor every time and he never gives in.
Don't get me wrong, I don't approve of the doings of the late emperor, but the present one I kind of like. The present emperor had done many things so far different from what the late emperor did. Of course, I acknowledge it very well that the present emperor is still a pretty fucked up guy, but at the very least he is showing signs of good character development and change compared to the late emperor.
And no, I'm not invalidating the MC's actions. He has all the fucking rights in the world to end his own life rather than living in such hellish environment.
The thing about this that excites me a lot is that I can't wait for the present emperor to completely change into a good guy for the MC.
You can't imagine how "bitchslaps" make me run all around the house ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ .
An uke who knows very well of his worth is the best uke.
Lol, yeah. But then again this uke seems like he was really just a normal, sane guy before he got imprisoned, while the ukes in KS and Warehouse weren't exactly "sane" and seemed off to begin with (IIRC). That's why, this uke's suffering feels a lot more relatable, and thus a lot more painful to watch, than Bum's and Dojin's.
If you're looking for a sign to read this then TAKE THIS.
I'll go through many concerns to you future readers out there.
[How similar with Killing Stalking]
Honestly I couldn't finish Killing Stalking because of the gore, but I have read through a good 30 chapters. I personally like Warehouse a lot more since personally, it has less gore, and also the Seme here actually has a reason (valid or invalid) to kidnap the MC, unlike in Killing Stalking, Sangwoo kills and tortures people for fun, with no remorse at all.
[The Rape]
Yes, the rape is there and don't get me wrong, I despise rape, but it's a whole different story when it is not romanticized. I could read through this perfectly fine. Both characters are fucked up.
[The Romance]
You should never expect that cutesy love scenes will be here. This is a story of two grown-ups with a very dark and deep relationship in the past. I'd say there is romance in the end, where they both have genuine feelings.
[The Stockholm Syndrome]
No, this is nowhere near Stockholm Syndrome. The MC is very repulsive, like anyone else if they were raped and held captive even in the lowest point of your life. The MC does not go lovey dovey with the Seme just because he is kidnapped. He puts up a fight everytime. But like I said, the romance blooms later on when the MC remembers and understands what he and the Seme had done in their school life and how he would want to start everything all over again.
[The Plot]
This had a very deep, well-written story. A strong, original backstories for both Seme and Uke and the emotion is really there. This was one hell of an emotional good ride. It is a fucked up story, but it's a GOOD fucked up story. The characters, the conflict between them and how they try to patch things up realistically was very superb.

y'all calm down i'm seriously laughing rn
i mean season 1 with 45 chapters only had one bed scene, why'd y'all suddenly expect for them to get together in 3 chapters
