IM SO HAPPY THIS STORY ISNT DRAGGED OUT LIKE 19DAYS, LIKE I LOVE 19D BUT OMFG ITS SO REFRESHING TO HAVE A STORY FROM THEM THAT IS ACTUALLY GETTING SOMEWHERE
Tho 19days is getting some kinda progress not in the way Tamen is
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Uh.. what? Not stretched out you say... yeah, sure, that's because there isn't that much of a story to begin with anymore.
It was pretty much just smooth sailing the entire way to this point. And now what? All we get is these filler-like chapters without substance and which entire purpose is to be "cute".
19 days have these filler-like chapters, as well, to stretch things out but instead of trying to be cute, they try to be funny - and mostly they succeed. The ACTUAL pace of the story isn't moved by these, and is still ok.
Because even though this author has more characters and also balances fluffy, comedy, and serious chapters s/he actually closes their story arcs properly and isn't afraid to have their characters openly show affection and actually talk about what they did. Here characters will say I love you and actually mention the fact they kissed instead of pretending it never happened. We don't even at least get chapters with the characters thinking about what happened. How they feel about it, what they think, etc is all a mystery and free game. Assume what you want because we sure as hell don't know either. Here we get both girls thoughts and feelings.
In Old Xian's (19 Days) defense, she started the series more of a spin-off story (the former 19 Days cover use to be the Jianyi and Zhengxi in the same outfit as the girls on this cover) consisting of 1 page funny moments in the boys' lives, but as the series gain popularity, she started creating a storyline.
I think the pace is also entirely within the author's intent. It doesn't feel dragged out to me, because the set-up to begin with wasn't tight, and, kind of like Gintama in a way, it allows for detours with both the plot, and without actually involving the plot much at all.
It's all about what kind of expectations the author sets up for us as readers to begin with, and I feel they haven't deviated much at all from those.
(Skip, to the end for just a bullet list of stuff I liked, I ranted longer than I thought I would)
Aahhhhhh!!! This is one of the best BL smuts I’ve read in a while. I’ve just been skimming boring slice of life BL plots or plots that has some kind of gimmick (e.g. this one with: Yohan is deaf) but the characters are uninteresting and/or unlikeable with little motivation outside of their relationship with each other, or for the appeal of a drawn out plot common in Manhua a barely developed relationship for a majority of the story, and the smut is usually bland :/.
While this is a highly subjective matter, an opinion just from myself, I honestly think these characters are likable, and the fact it reveals little about their lives (at least so far) outside of work (especially for the main character) doesn’t bother me because their whole relationship basically stems from their jobs at the cafe. This is different in BLs in a school setting, where the main characters are usually friends who would do a lot of things together outside of school and are often even childhood friends, relationships that stem from just the time they spend with each other and their personalities and with a definite future ahead of them, meaning they at least have some sense of a life goal that doesn’t involve romance. In this BL their relationship is mostly around the fact that they are sexually attracted to each other, and they only know each other at all because of the accident that pushed them to work together. And their goals, (as far as The story has told us) is to simply keep working, (the main character is even already established to be not very well off and needing a job after all) although because of this I do wish the state of the shop (e.g. type of customers, how well it is doing financially) was a bit more fleshed out, tho I don’t want it to become an issue used for a plot device because I kinda just want good smut and fun characters from a story like this.
To talk about the gimmick of the story (tho, I hate to call it that because it’s on yohans disability, it basically is a gimmick) it really works. Yohans deafness is handled well, in the aspect of how much detail is put into his disability is actually more than I’ve seen in a more serious BL manga that had a character with a hearing disablility. Also, in all of the BL I have read I haven’t seen, or cant really remember, a gimmick on someone’s voice (that didn’t have to do with singing) before.
I’m really tired and lazy, and this is already rlly long for a manhwa like this so imma shorten some of my points to
~ I like the characters
~ the plot is simple, interesting, and straightforward
~ it has a very very small setting and cast of characters allowing it to focus on the main characters without any side bs (this is mainly just a smut story after all)
~ the gimmicks of the story are used well
~ the smut is good spicy
~ its really really well paced, making the smut spicier (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
~ the art is rlly good for the tone of the story (and the hands are well drawn and that’s especially good for this story)
~ YOHAN IS RLLY ADORABLE AHHHHHHHH (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Anyways, I just rlly love this manhwa so far, its really interesting, fun, and most importantly spicy ;) and I had to get that off my chest because I’ve only been reading Yaoi that is mediocre at best and that’s always bleh.
Anyways imma reread this now (lol) thanks for reading if u did! Gn! ( ̄∇ ̄")

YKNO NOT CAUSE I HAVE ANY POSSESIVE ROMANTIC OR SEXUAL FEELINGS FOR HIM IM JUST R E A L L Y ANGRY RN FOR SOME REASON, ALSO ISANYONEELSEHARDRNORISITJUSTME?
Tho overall v good bl 9/10. p good compared to ones I’ve been recently seeing, although I started this one a while back like when just the first chpt was out.
VERONICA WAS THE FINAL BOSS ALL ALONG. OH SHIT. I TRUSTED HER. AND I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKED HER BEFORE THAT!!!
I never was crazy obsessed with this Manhua, I just really liked the art style and main characters. The plot was kinda messy and I kinda wished rather than the tru enemy just being a jealous girl in the end it was actually about how society systematically oppresses minorities to a deep and rooted extent. Like honestly I got a great thrill out of the twist but it kinda dilutes the message I think that Juns was trying to go for. There were so many characters and things happening behind the scenes I could barely understand what was going on and the flow of how the comic went (how it often jumped around from place to place and past to present) could make things even more confusing. The art was stunning tho, I loved it.
Overall though I really enjoyed this story as a love story on the surface (not as a high tense action/mystery drama kinda series, tho I don’t think it was intended to be one anyways). I even found myself crying when Simon woke up omlll.
(Also yay to no gender roles in BL!!)

Wow that escalated faster than I expected.
Also I am in love with the art, it’s such a charming style!
