i love how this manhwa doesn't shy away from pointing out very toxic societal problems that their very patriarchal country has, esp considering its audience is mostly girls. it just adds so much more meaning and proves that chick lit done right can really influence the way women (in a male-oppressed society) think--which is so damn refreshing to see

ahaha is the white haired dude the ML? The one who seems like a total smug egoistic jerk? Despite the hordes of good-looking and wonderful men around her? why authors gotta do this to us tho

Once again I'd like to say I really appreciate this webtoon, for weaving a great story and a magnificent MC who truly deserves the title of "Strong Female Lead". Just as I was led to believe by the storytelling that Noah was going to save her while Raeliana sat back and obediently waited, like countless other romance stories had trained me to expect, she went and saved herself first, just like the first time she was kidnapped.
And while some people might disagree, saying that she's weak unlike Ianna from Adonis or something, let me just say this: Raeliana is the female lead girls can realistically look up to, because she proves that women can be strong without becoming imitation men. It can be hard to depict women who are strong despite our sex's physical disadvantages, so some authors entirely bypass that obstacle by making them warriors or ex-assassins who transmigrated. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it's bad, all I'm saying is this novel's choice in not doing that is very refreshing, and very welcome. So even if she can't save herself all on her own and in the end Noah will probably assist her, I am fine with that. Because even strong women have limits, and letting men help them in some aspects, esp physical, won't take away their brilliance in the least. Because we can clearly see that Raeliana is shrewd, kind and emotionally strong. When she doesn't drink the poisoned tea I think that already showcases her cautiousness enough, do you still expect her to know that Beatrice is evil even though she had never met her and all the knowledge she has about her is from the book?
Raeliana is not made to be a Mary Sue. While she may know a lot of things other people don't, she doesn't know everything and she can sometimes make mistakes. Hey, it's like she's a fleshed-out and very human character or something.
So yeah, not much to say except I goddamn love the author for writing such a great female lead.

this is kenkyo kenjitsu, Magic AU, where the MC is instead born as a commoner, isn't it.
