Let's break it down shall we. First you emotionally neglect your child , I don't care what you went through in life you are his parent , you take care of them and make him feel loved. If you don't know how you learn , no matter how hard or confusing it is you don't stop trying .
Then you need a some 10 year old kid to tell you something called communication exists. Then it goes well with your wife and you leave your not an adult yet child with another child to enjoy life with your wife cause you didn't get to before.

This is so frustrating because emotional neglect is such a serious issue , all these white washing excuses...they make light of this by using it a plot device when needed and discarding it when it is of no use anymore . I remember a ghilbi movie where the parents also did this , but that work showed it for what it is...neglect. And that child's life was forever influenced by it.
Specially these shoujo webtoon artists give their characters all kinds of trauma. But the moment it turns out they hinder the plot , oh wait! It was a misunderstanding! You think your parents neglected you paid you no attention? You think your husband hated you and had an affair and wanted you to die? You think your dad married you over to an older man for money and power ?
No actually they secretly cared and all the horrible things they did , it was for your own good! Or they just didn't know any better ! Oh and my favourite ! They were under the power of some evil magic influence! You just didn't see the full picture!

I can see that not many people here have lived in abusive households. A man should not be your plan sis. We know the ml is atleast not going to be abusive cause he is the ml. How is she supposed to know that?
When it comes to situations like this I'm on her side. Slowly removing herself from the toxic environment as long as her life is not on the line and getting out of the house by herself is the best possible outcome. Ofcourse she should get all the help she could afford.

Exactly this. Everytime I read certain stories on this site and see the comments, it just really reminds me of how fortunate a lot of people are. While I'm happy that they haven't experienced certain types of abuse or assault, it also speaks volumes to the type of people they are that they're unable to find empathy or understand towards the characters simply because they haven't been in that characters shoes. Because you don't have to experience something to understand it.
Right now, our FL is doing the right thing. Depending on the ML to get out of her current situation could potentially land her into an equally or worse situation. She doesn't know him. She read about him, but she doesn't actually know him. It would be reckless of her to run to him just to escape her family. I also understand that we feel bad for the kid, but she's right that it's more cruel to raise his expectations of having her as a mom and bonding with him just to soon disappear from his life.
The amount of hate she's getting is ridiculous and I just really hope those hating on her never find themselves in a similar situation because it shouldn't be this hard to understand where she's coming from.
