Two possible reasons for Aquila’s split personality, his going back in time (I’m assuming he’s the dragon and stuff from story who turned back time) resulted in two versions of him occupying the same body because dragon magic. Or the dragon part of him is one part/personality and the person part is the kind one that fell in love with FL.
Other theory is that all his sketch behavior is because he’s trying to prevent things that happened in the past that like butterfly effect resulted in FL dying, maybe her dad died in murder attempt and brother died while he was a knight and that cumulative death of family did something?
Anyways Aquila is such a puppy I love him

Just binged entire series so I apologize if any of this is repetitive to other people’s thoughts.
Not really sure where the plot is going anymore. 1st season was good because everyone low key knows the ending from the start, we know Wolfgang is going to become King somehow and are just in for the ride Shin takes us on. This season is lacking because we don’t have some clear outline for a goal the two are shooting for.
At this point all I want is for them to romance each other correctly. In many scenes it looks like Shin is being heartless to Wolfgang or rejecting his love, but I see more as him remembering the previous reign he was bound to. The previous king was known for showering his Children with the best of the best toys, books, whatever. Perhaps Shin sees Wolfgang’s gifts in a similar manner, as way to show off the wealth Wolfgang has. Shin also grew up in nobility, these gifts may be priceless and unique but he has seen obscene wealth before. I feel we can’t blame Shin for not understanding Wolfgang’s love, Shin’s sense of love is warped from years as a King’s Child. Dude either sees it as something boarder line abusive (Previous King’s influence) or as some sort of extreme sacrifice (Shin sacrificing himself to protect Dad).
I feel bad for Wolfgang because this method of expressing his love is probably all he knows. Homeslice spent his formative years in poverty, working hard to provide enough food for himself and his little gang. Security, comfort, and in extension love are shown through provision which Wolfgang is trying to do here. For someone without luxury, to be showered with physical manifestations of that provision is probably his stab at love and care. Ngl tho I thought the outrageous gift giving was kind of out of character for Wolfgang, from his childhood I thought the extreme gift giving from his dad to his mom would have been some trauma for him or something. His mom also didn’t seem like the type to gift those types of things, she had the wild flower child vibe going on. Anyways, can somewhat understand Wolfgang’s wanting to shower his crush in expensive things, but hope he thinks harder in future.
At this point all I want is for Shin to be happy, the dude deserves it for all he has planned and schemed.
Oh my gosh he’s actually the prettiest uke ive read so far, he’s so baby but like not idk I just want to protect him from everything and just stare at his fluffy hair and cute face ack
