If the top is so rich, and they’re in the same group, even if they (bottom & top) weren’t close, couldn’t the top help him a bit? He’s being harassed and sm rumors abt him, I feel like if the top had done something it wouldn’t have gotten this bad. This could’ve helped the group a lot too.
I find the fact that he didn’t care enough abt his team success to be a bit of a turn off, so I’m rly hesitant on continuing :(.
I mean you are kind of right, however, this is still the beginning and right now his character is a bit flawed. He is still self centered and let's his emotions show without thinking of the consequences. He never wanted to be in the group but his family forced him to, so in his mind why should he help himself get more sucked into the group. Also as Tingsong said this chapter about rumors. He doesn't fully believe all the rumors abt juexia, however, he doesn't think rumors are made without some truth. So he doesn't like juexia bc of the rumors. He does get a lot of character growth which is why I love the novel. The more him and juexia interact the more they grow as people especially Tingsong. I haven't read the novel in a while but I also believe it's his family that is rich and right now he doesn't talk to them or use their money because of their fight. I really suggest you read the novel bc he is a very green character who falls hard. And it isn't like other stories where the ML is huge asshole that only after realizing his love changes. He was never an asshole he is just young and straightforward and he falls in love with juexia because of all he's grown and learned about him.
It's still just beginning, he's actually a very good kid. He may look like he doesn't care but that will change. I actually love his character a lot and he's one of my favorite male leads

Fl is blood related to the villainess (body she’s using rn) she was originally born in this world, as a princess, she was a sick and weak child so she needed treatment. Since her mother and them were isolated in the palace, she needed to go outside to get treatment, hence how she got separated from her family, making the experiments she experienced worse since she wasn’t publicly known as a princess. (More on that later) She got sent to the other world by her sister (villainess) to be happier, but got sent back when she was abt to die.

the real antagonist is their mothers “brother” which is their uncle. He uses people’s soul for everlasting youth, and the flowers that bloom after the death of the princess (villainess) is the key to immortality for him so he wanted to kill her. He is the cause of her illness, and the illness is fueled by human malice, which is the bad rumors around her. The sisters was used in experiments by their uncle bc of the power bestowed upon them by their mother (to protect them) when they were younger at one point in their childhood.
