I don't blame Kim Dan for his behaviour, his whole life has been on the run, he had to grow up earlier than most and his self esteem is bellow zero as a result. Joo trash though... The fact that he still takes advantage of Dan, despite clearly witnessing his condition, is another reminder that he's not capable of loving anyone else other than himself. He's 26 yet he has the emotional maturity of a baby in the womb, not to mention he's incredibly dumb, considering he had many clues, regarding a lot of situations yet he still behaved cluelessly. I guess he really fits into the all muscle no brain stereotype. His personality is genuinely so unlikable, that not even his looks could be his saving grace. He's incredibly crass and reeks of fragile masculinity. I don't understand how someone so unlovable could ever get redemption, he's trash even to his own team.

The most likely unwritten outcome, after their supposed 'happy ending', is this shallow, cheap motherfucker getting bored, sleeping around again and giving his victim the sexually transmitted disease he didn't get to give him in the main story. I don't believe even for a second that their relationship became equal after they both confessed. The sad truth is that mc will never be able to have any bodily autonomy. Nor say over anything at all. That would be only realistic, considering ml is a pos with antisocial personality tendencies, that gets off hurting mc.
I fucking love mc, he deserves much better. This story would be 10/10 as psychological horror with mc truly escaping from this creep.

On chapter two we are momentarily shown the fountain pen (before we even get the explanation of how he obtained it) and right after we witness him gazing at mc. This is a very clear indication that he sees her as an object he wants to own. Watch him crash her enemies and loved ones (that don't return her affection apparently) equally, just for the sake of making her his possession. As i predict it, he won't even give a fuck about her career, if anything he'll find her aimless state preferable, since he'll be able to completely control her. I wouldn't call him a yandere, just a full blown psychopath, a collector.

I didn't interpret her extreme reactions as a psychopathic streak but more like the panic and desperation of a burned out and depressed individual. But she is definitely malleable in her emotional vulnerability, which truly makes her a prime target for ml. People with antisocial tendencies like him tend to choose targets like her, although in his case, it seems like he chose her due to some sort of aesthetic perception (her form as she stood in the rain), just like how he chose his other objects.
i was thinking about her dream in chapter 1 that could have been a flashback. the recent chapter shows him crushing the caterpillar with a rock but her dream in c1 shows her crushing the mantis that's trying to eat the caterpillar with a rock, as well. they both have similar facial expressions. so it feels like foreshadowing that she's either also got a crazy streak or that she'll kill the predator -him-.

Ml is demented but what truly annoys me is that they end up together as if nothing happened, painting ml as the hero, despite being as evil and disgusting as the antagonist friend. This type of shit, plot that makes no sense whatsoever is extremely common in old ass yaoi.
Mc though, is a fine man, very intelligent and likeable. All these trashy people that get stuck to him should have ideally fucked off.

This is too beautiful, i was so immersed reading itI love how instead of immediately romanticising a sea predator, it showed us that it was only Rosie who was anthropomorphising the mermaid in her head due to emotional vulnerability. I wonder how the mermaid will react once she realises that Rosie is actually helping her by stitching her tail.
