The thing about people with low self esteem and depression is that they are cinics, they don’t believe that anyone would actually care for or love them, and when these types of people are treated exactly how they expected the would be treated the just begin to constantly expect it from everyone else. The mc clearly states he doesn’t stand a chance with him, and even when they do get intimate he assumes he’s getting played with by a rich alpha this is due to the fact that the seme never communicated any official relationship (he mentioned possessive or protective things but again he is rich so it wouldn’t be strange to assume he didn’t want anyone to ‘play with his toy’ even tho that isn’t truly the case) and to top all of that off even the people around him were telling him that he was delusional. The mc isn’t dumb, he has been hurt to many times to expect anything else.
I love the art, but like for some people that’s the only thing they like, the plot is pretty good, but I love the plot as well, maybe it’s cause I love angst but the story itself is great, given the uke’s situation, it’s not that there aren’t people interested in him, it’s just he doesn’t feel like he has the right to like anyone else, like he is ashamed of himself for liking the seme already, and from the way he was thinking about his mom he feels it’s wrong of him to want to be close to her as well, but the seme can “use” him, so at least he is being “useful” to someone and I feel he is mistaking this for love, I just can’t wait for the part for where he realizes this isn’t love, and finally frees himself from this shame
The author was sad when they wrote this, like you can’t tell me that this story isn’t want kept the author going, like this was their literary life support, like who needs medication when you can write stories, I can literally feel all the authors yearnings and emotions through the story, like the story is a literally mood (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I have read a lot of romance novels, manhua, and dramas that have lgbtq+ elements or relationships, and tbh this shit happens a lot, manipulation of someone the same sex and leading them on when they know for a fact the other is interested in them even though they themselves are not, this stuff honestly fucks with someone’s head, if your straight, that’s cool, and if your questioning that’s also fine, but she is doing this know that the brother and sister are “similar” hinting she can already sense that the other girl is interested
So i know most people are probably saying that the uke is in love with the seme, and tbh even his best friend thought the same, im sorry I forgot his name lmaooo, so anyways, the uke said he didnt have any 'expectations' which is why he thinks he wont get hurt. Cause of this chapter, its kinda obvious the seme likes the uke, and tbh, it kinda of seems like the uke just has platonic and sexual attraction to the seme, so i think for the time being, the uke really isn't romantically attracted to the seme.

istg I still can’t tell if Jun is bad, like I always assume that whatever a character does has a complex reasoning for doing so and doesn’t truly have bad intentions but like maybe I’m just too trusting
