Those fuckers he called friends, his classmates and his relatives should be burned in hell. It's sad that in real life that there are people like that, people who do not have a care in the world that they hurt others, people who are so selfish and ignorant. I just hope that I will not ever be one of those people one day or else I'd rather time travel in the future rn and slap myself

To people who are surrounded by those toxic ignorant people... I'm on your side boo and don't be afraid to ask for help... (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Raws please???

usually finding the original webnovels are pretty easy since the website syosetu is where most start out and comes out as the first on the google search list when pasting the titles but I think in the case here, the original might have been taken off with the series being published so yeah like what you said, we'd need to wait for the manga to update or someone buys the novels

Damn... The king fell in love but our Pauliana still got a long way to go to fall in love.........
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

whats for certain is that he isn't going to get anywhere just relying on the other party reading "hints" or expecting her to understand the context only known to the readers. he's royalty, and she's from a lower class noble family that has only known fighting her whole life. I just cant see her wearing some frilly dresses and sowing clothes for the children you know? she's be like Balsa, or Obi from Akagami No Shirayukihime serving the person she loves selflessly in her duties as a knight.

yes being a badass knight brutally cutting through the bones and flesh of her kings enemies on the battlefield is so overrated anyways~ she can set a trend for pregnant woman! ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I mean no offense, I'd rather die and be remembered for like literally anything else more noteworthy. she went as far as saying she'd live and die as a "Knight" I dont think that sort of determination should be taken lightly or that this mentality will change anytime soon. I just dont see her being content sitting on her ass while having others serve her luxuries. fundamentally shes a hard worker that kind of life is so out of touch with everything she's known, she'd get fed up with being cooped up fast and want to do something. its also an issue that she is putting our emperor on some kind of pedestal (calling him her "god") you cant love or see someone for who they really are idolizing them that way.
well I'll just going over some of these other things about her personality and background people fail to take into consideration when expecting their ship to sail but I do hope they take care to properly go over these things about her when the romance part of the story does start.

I agree. If she was to eventually become empress it would have to be after she no longer views the emperor as a God and they would have to come to the compromise that she can still fight on the battlefield just as the emperor is doing. If this story turns out any other way then I'd be extremely surprised (assuming that she doesnt reject him)

It was mostly a joke (though I truly don't think she would wear a dress.) However, if we look at even our own history, seemingly insignificant or suprerflurous changes to what a woman could and could not do lead to the freedoms and equality some see today. Women in power have a greater ability to make these changes. Based on the time period it looks like she is in, Pauliana giving women the option to wear pants ("The empress does it so why can at I?") could lead to developments in products for menstration (which they are probably told to sit and wait out at this time,) more roles around the home and outside it, and perhaps even, radically, exercise.
Women in the twenties went from high heels (used for horse riding for men,) skirted pantsuits, pants as professional wear in pantsuits, jeans and shorts, bikinis, and so forth to have the freedom to wear what we want today. As silly as it seems, fashion has lead to more powerful changes and radical thought to what women are capable of. They had to take hold of whatever avenue they could reach.
We don't know the names of the women who made these things popular off the top of our heads; but we can find out. A woman's accomplishments are usually squandered and belittled to a footnote on the end of a page. History is written by the winners. The emperor surely will not allow her accomplishments to be belittled turning his time. However, without prominent people who think the same following after him (and her,) those accomplishments will be written obscurely. Only older texts would contain the truth but the new things would not. What won't they possibly bother with? That perhaps she always wore pants no matter what and women caught onto it.
I always thought makeup and clothes and such were all silly things to worry about until I got older and realized women like Coco Channel or Audrey Hepburn used their beauty and power for the bettering of women and others. That doesn't mean I will use makeup or care what is in fashion any day soon. But I can respect a woman who treated her workers better than anyone else in Paris or a woman only known for her movies/not aging well and not her philanthropy like she should. It also makes room for people to be interested in women you have never heard of, like Elenor Roosevelt's best friend:
https://knowledgenuts.com/2015/07/20/eleanor-roosevelt-was-friends-with-a-top-russian-sniper/
(And the latest chapter had not been out yet so I didn't know she was referring to him as her god. That is indeed a steep hurtle to overcome in a possible relationship. My hopes is that glimpse in the first chapter was a deep and loyal friendship that could develop further based on the time they have to spend in the war together. I still expect her to treat a proposal like a joke he is playing.)

yea I think the biggest struggle would be the vast change of her general lifestyle, spending most of her life training, or on the battlefield. its just a part of who she is now, the freedom restricted life of royalty isn't something to be admired. that and her idealized view of him in her head as her superior/savior/king means she seeing him as her "duty" or "responsibility" rather then something a bit more close to home but as you said she does seem more relaxed around him in the prologue its just a matter of some development.
I know it started from a joke but you made some great points on how these fashion trends have played a subtle, but important role in the path for equality throughout history. it was rather insightful read. I thought it would be wasteful not to give you props for going through the effort to write it xD

Yeah, her lifestyle would mostly be paperwork, just like it would be for the Emperor once the war was over. Even if she didn't become empress, she wouldn't be out on the March nearly as much as she has been in her whole life so far. I hope that her mentor's words of mindless work come back to her before that point.
And thank you. After writing that, I had to have a talk with my mom. See, she's certainly more girly and tried her best to raise me to be interested in those sorts of things. But she also didn't keep me from doing things I liked to do, like swimming and Pokemon cards/games. So I needed to let her know that even though I wasn't exactly the daughter she wanted, I do appreciate the women before me and feel neither inferior nor superior to women that are into those things.
Title Nine went into affect when she was in her schooling years so girls could finally be into sports. But interestingly, they were not played the same before then. Women's basketball, for instance, was played with almost all the girls on the team standing still in the same position while one on each team would be in charge of passing the ball (from 1891-1970. )So little was understood of the female body that it was believed excessive activity would cause a female's ovaries to fall out/out of place because they are connected by ligaments (and so are breasts, which are affected much more by gravity.) P.S. They aren't connected to the fallopian tubes either. So the player chosen to run the ball was "sacrificing" her eggs. I am so glad we have come so far from that idea. And let's not get into the role tampons had in this.
So though Pauliana was forced into the lifestyle she has now, I would like to think she would be more of a tomboy no matter what. We have not seen her interact with another women yet (her sister doesn't count because even if she wasn't a total B, it would still be sibling squabble.) I hope she treats them with an open mind if they can do the same. It would disappoint me, actually, if we went through the whole story with her being in a sea of men.

"Yeah, her lifestyle would mostly be paperwork, just like it would be for the Emperor once the war was over." by change in her general lifestyle I mean more her mindset around it. I think it would be cool to be a queen of some foreign country too, being proposed to by a prince. doesnt mean I'm fit to be one, whether in blood or the kind of environment I was raised up in. its so far removed from everything I've known I wouldn't actually want that kind of life. whereas the emperor was raised up as royalty since his birth so there really wouldn't be much change from the usual, wouldn't be anything for him to have to "adapt" to. its the opposite for paulina, her life would never be the same again. thats why I feel like it wouldn't be too unexpected for her to be hesitant adjusting to it all or even picturing it for herself
I should have specified a bit more sorry
Guys do you have raws? (●'◡'●)ノ
