During the first chapters when he proposes to bea for contractual marriage, he was be almost assaulted by the blue haired bitch and bea knew that yet she was calculating the pros and cons before saving him. Even the saving process was pathetic and I kinda knew that this one will make our ml suffer to his core. ╥﹏╥

Looking at the rating, it seems quite promising but after reading the summary..I don't know how to feel about it like should I read it or not? I don't like cheating or a playboy before falling in love type ml and the description is ya know. Moreover, if it's misunderstanding then I hate it when it takes like light years to get solved. Therefore PEOPLE HELP ME, SPOIL ME AND JUST ADVISE ME IF I SHOULD READ IT OR NOT CAUSE THE TITLE IS REALLY CONVINCING!!!

He’s definitely not a cheating Playboy type he’s more of a shy don’t know how to put his feelings in words. And honestly, the misunderstanding is justified basically because… (read to know more). It’s actually pretty cute and a pretty soft story, and the revenge comes at a reasonable pace. You’re not waiting forever for her to get her to get back.

It’s not, but the ML acknowledge that he made that mistake in the last episode. It also doesn’t hinder anything so it’s not like a nuisance to the story. It’s just kind like a comedic relief funny, kind of thing, whenever it gets brought up. but there’s still progress with the two characters and the misunderstanding really isn’t that bad. You just have to read it because it ends up being funny and it isn’t really expanded on so far as the misunderstanding trope, but more like a funny filler.

When I saw the art and saw that it's Chinese webtoon...I could already guess what's the plot gonna be like, full of unwanted misunderstandings, the heart wrenching slow development and stupid characters choices...why is it rated this high though.... ╥﹏╥

Personally I like it a lot. Yes maybe it is a slowburn but if things went perfectly smoothly with no issues and everything was figured out immediately it would be short, too predictable, too easy/perfect, and end too soon. Every story needs it's ups and downs even if the downs are frustrating and annoying. The only thing that annoys me about it is I don't know Chinese so I can't read ahead and the English translations are far behind the latest chapter. I'll keep reading because I look forward to the fluff (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Different strokes for different folks.
For me this slow-burn is kinda very frustrating, especially when it's a low-stakes thing where it's really not all that important, but still very annoying when characters start breaking their brain over stuff (or just encountering trouble, whatever) that would be no issue IF THEY KNEW THIS ONE THING THAT'S BEING DANGLED IN FRONT OF THE READERS FACES EVERY MINUTE. Ahem..
Like for example when a MC is pulling the "uwu I bet ML doesn't love me"-line and meanwhile the ML is salivating over MC like a lovestruck puppy.
Ahem, so yea.

It's not that I enjoy slowburns. I'm impatient and want the good parts to hurry up. But if a story turns out to be a slowburn I need to be fed crumbs at least before chaos strikes and I lose it ヽ(`Д´)ノ lmao but no I guess because I'm reading lots of different stuff at the same time I'm distracted by the slowburn of some mangas/manhwa... but based on what I've seen for this one it's not bad to be honest. (▰˘◡˘▰)

Then you shouldve said, damn it's all things I don't like I guess this isn't for me not... I don't like this why is it so highly rated like?? Like it's not even some weird toxic kinky shit That's just being a hater for no reason. I mentioned BL cuz I thought you were one of those BL weirdos who come hate under yuri tags

The only thing I can think of is because of the demographic of authors for each respective genre? BL is mostly written by women, while GLs are mostly written by men, so the story telling, art, and framing of it all is very different to each other(I’m not saying all of it is like that). So, fujoshis(girls) are most likely going to prefer storytelling from a female author(it’s like the difference in a shoujo and shounen series. There are def writing differences in my opinion. It’s also why a lot of people on mangago(mostly female/fujoshi user base) hate the harem genre. While, other sites that have more male user base like harem genres. Its a difference of the male gaze and the female gaze I think)
Of course, this is just very basic observation and hypothesis, so idk lol. I personally don’t read a lot of GLs because of the reason stated above, so I was also drawing from my own personal opinion. (I like GL, but I prefer the way female authors depict romance more)
It’s all a matter of preference, but comments like those are def out of left field lol XD

I'm gonna be honest, I came for the smut but the storyline got me captivated...the smut...ehh...is really bad like maybe I've read good quality smut art which is why this plainly gave me second hand embarrassment...even though the plot is good so I'll be here for the plot. Sigh...I really wanted a good smut can someone recommend me good straight smut? ╥﹏╥

if you want some good smut check this one https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/chuuken_bodyguard_ga_nisemono_reijou_no_uso_to_karada_wo_abaku_made/
both FL and ML are sinfully hot and the sex scenes don't make you cringe. too bad it's so short, i need more Takaomi in my life
So I think the 3rd empress is actually the mastermind behind making 8th unit unhuman, while the prince (the one sitting on the chair) might be a good character trying to heal them all and get them on his side since it was mentioned that the emperor is favoring 3rd empress's son ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
