I wouldn't associate this with the actual story from the mythology. This manhwa is just based off of that and take some aspects of the plot from the original, but it has a lot of major differences...

Because Akito is underage and Yuichiro dotted on Akito since the day he was born. That's why it's weird. Plus Yuichiro has and always will think of Akito as his son. It was not characteristic of him to fall in romantic love with Akito. But he had to change otherwise there would be no story. Gotta fit the yaoi narrative. But to me it didnt feel very believable that Yuichiro fell in love with Akito. He never acted creepy around him, always gave him fatherly care. Akito is the weird twisted one lol

Since it's the same artist, I can't get rid of how similar the characters look with the characters from Blood Link. Still...different stories but it gives me a similar dark vibe. This one has way more smut though...and I like. My point is just to say that if you liked this manga, you might like the other one as well and vice versa...
