That??child??looks??happy??to??contribute?????? Im sorry but thats child labor ma’am
Not her envying a kid that is forced to work because of poverty

She said and i quote « even children like him are working » so yeah he’s working not ‘helping around’. And her comment about envying him for being ‘happy’ is ignorant and tone deaf considering her aristocratic position as the lady of the house. Im not saying she didn’t experience abuse or anything but that comment was unnecessary and the author could have done better. I said what i said and Im not going to argue with anyone about this.

I don't think she herself knows what it means to actually work cause this is not "working" he just brings water, it the same as taking out the trash. it's not working XDD or maybe she meant "working" = helping around the house unlike herself that didn't do shit and felt useless inside her own home. she be grateful to take out the trash or do something.
I know that kaname did nothing wrong and its not his fault but I feel for misaki, Kaname succeeds everywhere he fails. If being close to him makes him feel miserable and he wants to distance himself, his feelings are valid.
And its sad because misaki knows that kaname is not at fault, he even praises his work ethic and he’s really trying to keep his bitter feelings and jealousy in check while trying to work harder, but yeah i guess he could not bear it anymore
Poor boy is doing his best to get into his dream company but kaname gets the job, he gets the opportunity to work on the main character but it shifts to kaname the day after, so yeah, I get it, and I bet it hurt even more when he realized that he was being conscious of him one sidedly while kaname was above it all and “looked down” on him while he was out there trying to compete (the youre a hard worker scene and the you can copy my model)
But I think its funny that while kaname was busy falling in love misaki was getting more and more miserable
