after i commented this i’ve done some digging, so back in chapter 17 he said he fell in love with a person back in high school and now he’s dead, this manga is actually a spin off of “ Trace: Kasouken Houi Kenkyuuin no Tsuisou” in trace dan is the villian along with his friend who’s a dude and back in hs someone said that they bully ppl, and apparently that’s the person he was talking about. also in https://sexypedia.fandom.com/wiki/Hiroki_Dan#:~:text=There%20is%20a%20telling%2C%20though,expressed%20infatuation%20with%20anyone%20else.
below “Questionable LBGT rep” it says “ There is a telling, though ambiguous hint that Dan's first love (and possibly the first time that he felt homicidal intention) was a man. This love is the same person as the deceased friend. He has never expressed infatuation with anyone else.” so i guess he is gay but he doesn’t feel any attraction to anyone else but his first love (lowkey sounds like a love story if u remove the craziness ahahah)
Real also in ch 1 he also said that he's doing all the killings (he calls it a "good deed") to go to heaven to meet his friend. Possibly referring to his first love and also I think he's doing all of this murders because he failed to kill his 1st love with his own hands and now he's trying to make up for it or as I call it satisfying his needs by killing the others.

so along with the other clues mentioned, the ambiguity lessens and i think we can confirm it!
