When you think about it, Frankenstein can have control over it as long as he doesn't let it get out of hand, his will is strong most of the time and he can push back the potent power, but not everytime. Something so evil can never be perfect, as it was made by greedy people and the lives of thousands upon thousands of people where sacrificed to create such a thing. Also considering that Dark Spear has devoured many other beings with dark hearts.
Okay... Frankie needs to take a step back and think right quick. The Dark Spear is beginning to take over his body and that means Rai will have to step in and release him from it if Frakenstein can't resist that things power and then First Elder will see that Frankie can't completely control it.
