I think you guys forget that she KNOWS she changed the story. Her only concern is that our boy Nox still has the curse. Serena is the only one who can cure him according to the novel. Amy is only going by that. If she interferes, there's a chance Nox won't get cured and there won't be a happy ending because we don't really know what the ending is and blah blah blah. What we're basing it off of is Amy's knowledge and she don't give us crap in that department.
Also, just because a hot guy kidnaps you does not mean you should lay down and take it. That's not romantic. That's creepy. CONSENT, PEOPLE, CONSENT

Consent is important no one is saying it isnt but she isn't giving nox the closure he needs to move on bc she keeps running away. Nox is just as confused like he suddenly transformed into a child lost his memories was being hunted down and then taken away from the people who took care of him. He regained his memories but also fell in love he feels like she returns his feelings but she turns him down at the last moment she is giving him mixed signals. She is just at fault as nox is

I definitely agree with that part, as well. I'm just frustrated that people are ONLY bashing the FL. They're both awkward, uncommunicative people that need to talk through their problems because this sort of back and forth thing can only entertain us, as readers, for so long.
I will say that Amy's reason is that she can't be the one Nox loves BECAUSE she can't cure him. (But we, as readers, get the sense that she might have the ability to do so.) Amy doesn't know that because she's basing it off of her knowledge in the novel. Her main reason to leave is because she's not Serena, who can cure Nox.
As for Nox, homeboy honestly doesn't have a lot of experience with people, so this has turned him to resorting to unnecessary actions such as kidnapping. He's being led on, yes, which I feel incredibly bad for him, but I'm leaning more towards Amy because, while she is the one who led him on, she does have a right to tell him that she doesn't want to be with him. Her escape attempts should be enough to tell bby Nox that she wants to return. At this point, I just want them both to sit down and communicate because they both suck at it.
Its also not just bc she can't cure him I think they explained this but bc she was from another country(?) So she cant get married or be with nox. (Im not completely sure so can someone confirm)
But im pretty sure nox has asked her why she can't be with him and she has never really properly given him an answer so he can't give up. And the exact reason is bc he is a homeboy he has no experience. People have been after his life since he could remember but she showed him kindness she opened up a whole new world to nox.
Im not saying it was right for him to do that but the feeling of not being able to let something/one go bc you dont understand why they/it left is really f*cking painful and hard to do.
I really hope that they talk and that amy realizes that this isn't the f*cking novel anymore
