it really feels so god damn sad but i both love and feel sad that lucas haunts paula till the day she dies, she and everyone else will never forget him, she'll never stop seeing him when she looks at ml's eyes.... and he knows that...butr they all loved him so its ok ig...he truly was loved. like if lucas had survived i dont think paula would have ended up with ml...
ill think of this novel till the day i die....
however i will still say is that paula DOES love the ml, there is true and genuine love between them, they make each other better, its so so so so cute to read, and honestly i just adored reading paula, shes just so good,so entertaining but also so thought provoking, if your thinking of just reading the novel pls do it, its a little bit of a diffrent experience but still they both are pretty good.
the little bits in this arc where they are close and he calls out for paula and is looking for her in everything and shes just so close to him...and her wanting to reach out but also look away...her regretting describing her sister to him...its so sad but thier proper reunion and subsequent relationship progression is absolutely worth it.
her and lucas's brother are also so cute but damn reading about what happened to him and how he's doing all these years was so damn sad... ugh i could go on and on abotu that part of the story

And also the book isn’t actually true and he doesn’t cheat and she doesn’t die or smthg but still, they are cold to each other. Idk it’s a little bit her fault for not showing her feelings and being cold yes but there’s literally a guy who’s gonna be THE EMPOROR who cares about you.
Chasing the love of someone who won’t give it vs the love someone so feeling giving and you choose the later: I can’t even feel bad for you atp.
I might acc leave this story because there’s no way the ml is gonna beat the crown prince in terms of ‘better life partner’ because BRO DOESNT EVEN TURN ON HER AFTER SHE REJECTS HIM they stay friends and it would be better if he turned evil so not choosing him would be less stupid but that’s not what happenes

I don’t know how to explain it but him knowing that even after all his begging she would still say no…it’s heart warming almost.
Really shows how he knows her well and admires her values even at the cost of him. That he still sees her, truly her over/through his own feelings and not with rose tinted glasses that because of his love, his insistence, she’ll suddenly change who she is but it’s because of everything abt her he loves her. He actually loves her and not the idea of her. And his real love of everything HER that he can’t stop loving her.
