(All this shit made me forget MC was weirdly stalking at the beginning) I saw the last ch, and was like ok I could give this a try, (kinda scary but kinda nice) and now in ch 19 realizing he was gonna pull his teeth, (not just bluff) after beating him senseless for lying (trying to control his work life) and everything just keep escalating. I guess can’t complain since it says horror and psychological, though I prefer when the tag is not about their relationship. Like in Dreadful night or even Dead Man Switch. But this once again is about an abuser conditioning through fear their victim to fall in “love” through “deserved punishment” and reward “when well behaved” basically “Your the one making me do this” “your so stupid, you make me do this” “why are you scared of me”.
he clearly is in despairs and only feels fear and doesn’t want to hurt, so will do anything so it doesn’t happen, and suddenly once the Stockholm syndrome kicks in the story becomes “romance”…for once! I wish that even if the author makes me read through their suffering it would become a story of surviving, them escaping and moving on. I can handle some stories where the guy, because of misunderstanding, does things that are hella questionable but then realize the err of their way and theres a redemption ark or chasing ark. Which makes me accept the fantasy that you can forgive and be together. But this one?? Makes Roses and Champagne look like a Rom Com. Unless there was a whole year of regret and redemption I wouldn’t be able to accept that ending, and even then i don't think so lol. At the end remembering the last ch irks me .

But this was more enjoyable than I thought, could have been a masterpiece if it was longer for their relationship to progress and the plot because the concept was really interesting. It felt like i was watching their emotions develop and the conflicts getting resolved in 2.0 speed. And the toxic in me enjoyed the obsession of Francis making chung feel like had no escape from him. (It wasn’t as terrifying as other stories I've had to drop lol)
If you ignore the weirdness of the octo baby (that he def fathered), who looks at him as a parent, did sexual things to him( regardless of if he perceives it the same as a human) This was actually a pretty funny good story, and the art was amazing.
This was so good! I can understand the family situation was weird. ML was so dumb at the beginning for being an alpha but he got to pay for it, i like the process they went to be ok together again. Getting surprised when finding out that in the memory loss time when ML was doing questionable things it was on purpose for the MC benefit. I love that ML is starting to feel attachment for the kid. Though i wish for side story because I didn't get to see the process of the kid finding out MC was the one who birth him. And if I dislike on thing would be that the “mother” of MC didn't get the fate she deserved, and the author dared to put it like we have to feel pity for her? For what? She is more vile than the people she think are the evil ones.

To enjoy this just don't take anything seriously, they slapped the tag comedy and made everything a joke. You can see everyone acknowledge their errors but not in a serious proper way because this aint a drama. I guess the only thing I didn't like was how MC was convinced he needed to pay the vase, but I know that's such an old gimmick (even Ouran High School club did it) that I let it go lol. Not a bad silly read to get over the other horrors you might have read lol.
