And i felt like the whole accident with her sister, was unnecessary. It didn't add anything to the story. Like the parents dying makes sense, but the extra tragedy wasn't needed.

Actually as you might have noticed this is a manhwa and in korean's language the way they pronounce V and B are quite similar and originally they don't have V sound in their language. So that's way Carvel roughly can also be pronounced Carbell.
