I recently read "When The Villainess Loves" and it is about another modern girl that gets reincarnated in a romance game or novel as the villainess that is hated by everyone OR many people that includes a neglectful ignorant King/father and an arrogant psycho Prince/Half-brother.
While I was reading the translated chapters, the spoilers in novelupdate spoilers and the raws in either toonsarang or newtoki, I realized that many reincarnated MCs in other stories decide to gain the sympathy or favour of Alphaholes so they can survive the plot. And if they don't want kiss their asses and try other ways to avoid the death route, they still get the unwanted attention of assholes who bothers and save them in the end....
So my question is why other Asian authors can't follow the same example like "Beware of the Villainess"? And I do not believe the argument cause it wouldn't be realistic.
Hello!, the writers make many male characters powerful in a fictional fantasy setting! So they prefer helpless powerless suffering protagonists/heroiness who can't maintain a position of power on their own unlike the leading men.
And even the female characters are somehow strong and smart, their achievements is always underminded by superior Alphaholes or the perfect dark knight in shiny armor.
Can anyone recommend other webtoon stories about reincarnated girl/woman in a novel or otome game that is similar and very empowering like Beware of the Villainess?
The closest thing I got is "The Pet of the Villainess".
Currently there is now a new sub genre trend about modern adult women reborn as powerful Villainous Queens ;)
Can't say for sure that they are empowering since they already seem be too priveledged.
- There is now It Looks Like I’ve Fallen into the World of a Reverse Harem Game -
- I've Become the Villainous Emperor of a Novel -
I think the MC is funny and entertaining but when I read some spoilers how she has to survives and is at the mercy at the shitty father king and half brother crown prince, I get very frustrated ...

"After the second meeting with the king, the king gives CP a task of clearing up MC's rumors because he feels guilty. At this point, MC has gotten the attention of the CP and she has to somehow show that she is harmless to him. In the first meeting with CP, he hired assassins to kill MC, but in the end he made a hand signal to stop the assissination because the MC caught his interest. (Daniel is the assassin that came to kill her.) Cain, Eugene, and Herrace end up working with the CP in resolving MC's rumors. Unlike how in the novel CP is trying to kill them, they are working together at the moment. They find out that there might be something deeper to the rumors surrounding the MC."
"MC makes a deal/contract with CP. MC will teach/help him with his relationship with FL in return for CP to not kill MC and to give MC her freedom. MC straight out tells the CP that he will most likely annoy the FL in the future because he has never been in a relationship."

I don't like the logic/solution that she needs to be very lovely, harmless and lucky to gain the favour of a merciless arrogannt psycho manchild or any dumbed down MLs!
Melissa from "Beware of the Villainess" shits on the novel's MLs and uses her knowledge about the plot to screw them over very hard!!!
Badass Bitch Queen is able to be rude and shameless at her own fictional father and brother! ^^

I am kinda disappointed that the story takes place before Helck 1.

It is stated as a prequel. I was hoping to see the future events after the battle with the Will of the New World entity.
It kinda makes sense to tell a tale about past events since at the end of Helck 1 many humans have been eradicated and the demons are helping to reform the rest of human kind.
It's not
