I believe Mia is much more competent than Aria from The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass!
They have similarities with each other but one of the differences is that Mia has always a way to get back at her opponents and her motivation + capabilities are not underminded by any MLs.
they’re both competent and have different motivations but I’d argue that Aria is more competent. Mia’s main goal is to prevent her future death and while she has successfully done that it’s mostly because of the people around her. Aria’s main goal, however, is to ruin the life of her step sister, Miellé. Although right now what she’s done so far may seem like just petty remarks, it shows that she’s slowly eating away at Mielle causing her to act more recklessly and almost expose herself (carriage incident). Aria is slowly getting people to change their opinion of her too. I also like how instead of becoming instantly kind like what happened to Mia, Aria is portrayed as a bad person instead of making her do a 180 on her personality.
I ve read "A Guy Like You" and I liked the art style but the plot, characters and logic were quite over the top melodramatic with very questionable decisions.
I think the characters in "Yours to Claim" are more grounded and accessible.
But the blonde guy/third wheel/Second ML seems to be quite the lovable cartoonish bufoon. Perhaps the next (raw) chapters show more dimensions of him.
Yes, the MC is very weak and meek but he didn't make any stupid choices. He currently has not much many other options or capacities.
It's the plot/narrative that throws him two fcked up criminal assholes who are kinda OP and makes him helpless.
I feel for the Uke MC but the Seme and his crazy ex bf are just too much.
Here is a note: The antagonist ex only exists so the seme appears less shittier than he actually truly is in front of the unfortunate MC and their love bond becomes more and more stronger.
It has become a recurring stupid overused cliche in many soapy Asian dramas where the author makes the ML no matter how shady he is more sympathetic and heroic by putting the MC suddenly in danger. Funny thing is, that asshole of ML/Seme caused all this to begin with!!!!
I have no sympathy for Jihyun. He dares to come back after he hurt several times Chiwoo and assaulted him two times including attempted rape which also landed him to the hospital twice.... Chiwoo's mother even confronted him and ask him to stay away from her son!
I swear, if the author makes Chiwoo unexpectedly falls in love with this fuckboy perpetrator or let Jihyun have his way with him.... I am so done with this story and give it a very low rating!

What a frustrating storytelling about conservative women who have to put up with dominant philandering conservative men. And the women (virtuos good girl vs dumb tramp) are blaming each other over a fuckboy!
Since I discovered Melissa from "Beware of the Villainess" I don't see any reasons why any female character has to behave like subservient lovestrucked waifu.
I love that scene when she confronts the ML by shouting she doesn't give a fuck about him or gis affairs and imagined to hit the fucking prince mercilessly with an ashtray ^^
