I think it was Adam who almost died during the attack , and Eve rampaged and because of the emotional outburst he experienced when he witnessed Adam was dying, the researchers (Isaiah) did something for him to calm
down and they made Eve forget what happened.
Yh that sounds more like and I think Eve decided to erase his memory bcz of something else we all know he has the ability to read thoughts so when Adam committed suicide (assuming he did) Eve erased his memory which in turn messed w Eves ability causing memory damage.
