This really sucks for the characters in the manga! Wish they could have gotten help of some kind :/ Seemed like Ichika’s family was trying to help her but it didn’t seem to work much for the time being. I’m mainly just waiting for shit to hit the fan because now it’s gotten a bit boring, just the same repetitive actions of Kanae being too scared and too mentally unstable to change anything about her life. I definitely don’t think it’s possible for her to do anything without help but I’m slowly getting more bored as nothing particularly exciting happens (￣∇￣")
I’m pretty sure shits about to happen soon based on the latest chapter and getting help for the MC is gonna be hard because in Japan people tend to look the other way when it comes to mental issues. Even when some people do notice it they would just think she’s crazy or sad

I definitely think that the main characters so far (Ueno, Mafuyu, Shizu, Higa, Haruki, and Aki) need to take a moment to talk to each other about how they’re feeling. Especially the highschool boys, they’re all still hung up on Yuki’s death and NEED to talk about what happened as a group, and as friends who care. But it seems like people aren’t realizing the devastation that comes with losing someone you love. Not only that, but being the person who FOUND your loved ones body. You don’t come back as the same person after that, that’s not changeable. Yuki’s death devastated all of the boys, they were all affected by it. Yuki (like Shizu said) was the center of their friendship, and you can tell by the way Shizu, Mafu, and Hiiga always think of him and haven’t properly moved onto the grieving process.
People who are expecting Mafuyu to just suck it up after a year and become this open and affectionate boyfriend are reaching. He has trauma. He is still scared of the thousand of possibilities of history repeating itself with Ueno. He loves him individually, he loves Ueno, but it doesn’t change the fact that he’s still the same scared kid that he was a year ago, having a boyfriend that makes you feel better little by little won’t change him in a day. Which is why he should talk to Uenoyama about how he actually feels after seeking advice from Aki. Uenoyama to know what’s happening...

This was well said. Most people rant about why Mafuyu is still hang up on Yuki and the Ueno needs some loving but as you said, “He [Mafuyu] has trauma... He loves him [Ueno] individually... but it doesn’t change the fact that he’s still the same scared kid that he was a year ago, having a boyfriend that makes you feel better little by little won’t change him in a day.“ On the other hand, I used to agree to those said people, I was frustrated and confuse for them all. Though most of all we have to remember that to us it’s only chapters but to the group of friends it’s only been a YEAR. But I really do think Mafuyu needs to be more open not just to Ueno but to the rest of the friend group. I always hate it when there’s so much misunderstanding that could’ve been prevented, which is low key realistic tbh.
