SPOILERS FOR EARLY YEARS

Okay, so there’s a lot to unpack here in the beginning so I’ll break it down in sections. I got my info from the first four translated chapters which you can read. After that, the book can be purchased in Ridibooks.com but you need to be age verified.

- EARLY AGE
THERE IS NO PEDOPHILIA. I repeat, there is NO POTENTIAL LOVE/SLOWBURN going on between uncle and nephew.

I need to stress this, because if you go in reading this work preparing to condemn the work in advance, you’ll pretty much lose a lot of details here and do yourself a disfavor. This stone cold uncle DOES admonish him in his own ‘wtf are you doing, man up or stay put if you wanna follow me around’ way while others fawn over the little prince, which others see as teasing because it is a very big deal for the uncle to even pay attention in the first place. I’m stunned because I want to know how did it get from this to the scene we saw in the prologue. As of this point, there is nothing sexual.

- BLOOD RELATION
The novel talks about the loving relationship between the Queen and King (this is where I need to re-read the manhwa again because some of the difference in details is tripping me) The nephew IS BLOOD RELATED to the king because the novel speaks of the child being a spitting image of the king. Edit: I’ve run the original phrase of this in various translation tools, and everything translates to the child being the king’s image. Which means the scene of the servants gossiping about the prince was when he was a baby, and it was only when the prince turned 5 that he fully resembled his king father.

However, THE UNCLE, on the other hand… I haven’t read further - but I suspect HE might actually be the one not blood related.


- THE WIFE
In early engagement days, these two loathed each other from the first meeting. The marriage is purely political , arranged by the Ministries because he was just not interested - the uncle mentions a few times, that because they seem to be similar in personality and pride, their distaste for each other is also evident. He delayed the marriage for as long as he could and the wife WAS PERFECTLY FINE with that. The novel described them as standing with each other in one scene like comrades (then corrected itself in the same breath by saying even less than that, as it implies comrades are close, but they are not) instead of lovers, when MC went to meet her for the first time.

If I were to describe it, remember that 18+ scene between uncle and MC in the beginning? SO if she knew, I DON’T THINK SHE EVEN CARES AND IF ANYTHING, she could’ve been even watching out for them as a guard, that’s the idea that I got from reading about their engagement which is not even like one at all.

This is the end of the translated chapters - I’m still debating on whether to purchase because it just doesn’t read well in MTL so I KNOW I’ll lose a lot in detail. (In other words, I’ll probably buy the book because I want to know what happens lol)

This story is best when it focuses on our main couple and their wholesome vibes. Now I’m waiting to see what the deal with all this screen time the second ML has, and it’s BECAUSE of that trainer. My senses are going crazy. 2ML IS a pos asshole, but I absolutely appreciate the negative sentiments this guy is causing in me because this leaves a lot of room for his character to grow - I’ve always loved redemption arcs and I have an absolute weakness for 2MLs getting their own pairing and character arc (I swooned over the spin off stories of 2MLs in Alpha Trauma, King of Home Dating and My Suha, the latter of which the 2ML was thought to be completely irredeemable but ended up one of the major highlights of the side stories cos he fell in love with 1st ML’s best friend)

So back to the trainer,,, I hope that the author IS doing something with trainer. Why? Because from what I observed, that trainer’s character was TOO STRONG AND INTERESTING to be mere NPC. If author is setting trainer up with asshole second ML, it would canonize this for me to be the ONLY work where I would equally fall for first couple AND second couple. Trainer sounds totally no nonsense ‘I ain’t putting up with your shit’ which is the perfect foil for asshole 2ML.

I’m convulsing because it has been EXACTLY TWO MONTHS of pure agony. I have absolutely no idea how I managed to last since April - but I see that THEY FINALLY MEET. Yeorum has never lost his positivity nor his heart but he is definitely cautious, in pain and WANTING answers. They are fucking running through the snow like a scene straight out of a Korean drama and I am loving every moment of this.

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL THANK GOD, because I was starting to collapse from the misery.

What if THIS TIME, it’s Mr Lim’s turn to PROPOSE ONE MONTH for Yeorum to ‘fall for him’? Yes we all know Yeorum loves him still, but you can’t have a chasing arc without groveling and healing from the emotional damage caused. Yeorum has always been the proactive one, but what if this time, perhaps we will see Mr Lim going through the extra mile to show his feelings for Yeorum and going through his own character development journey by doing this.

And the end of the one month period will coincide with the beginning of springtime, where new leaves begin to flourish… unlike the time when Yeorum’s own one month period ended with heartbreak and the dying leaves of autumn. Oh my heart.

This is honestly a good space to marinate or pause the manhwa. I’m not joking. I DIE every week and I can’t claw myself out. The actual angst is coming. If you can’t stand weekly rollercoasters and cliffhangers, this heads up is for you. Currently, there is no end in sight as a raw reader because it’s just the fucking start.

I think it’s quite obvious that because Yeorum couldn’t argue against his parents, he displays his rebellion and fights back in the only way he could, by sleeping around and taking ownership of that one area he feels he has full control over. He probably dabbles in all sorts of sex, threesomes definitely like that one panel showed. It’s a nice bit of character backstory for Yeorum. It also doesn’t seem to matter him as much at this point because he’s currently heads over heels over Mr Lim and he’s really feeling the love whenever they have sex. I think if he hadn’t met Mr Lim, he would’ve gone harder on the mindless orgies and sex tbh if his parents are as stifling and controlling as ever.

You’d think you’ll feel like an adult when you’re 24 - technically you are, but toxic parents and upbringing will always make you feel like you’re still a child and you’re conditioned to respond in a certain way when you meet them. This is probably a potential issue that’ll probably spring up in the future with the way Yeorum keeps declaring he’s an adult. The moment when he can stand up against them is the moment he’ll probably give Mr Lim more confidence in a lot of ways if he wants to take the rs further (Mr Lim may not be as sexually experienced, but he HAS gone through marriage and divorce and probably knows how to weather the storms of life a bit more realistically than Yeorum right now.)

This is the first time in my entire history of reading BL where I see a seme who throws up after kissing the uke WTF why would you do this, I mean YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO WANT TO SUCK HIS WILLY BY NOW, NOT VOMIT HELP

ML is an orange-red flag. That lady knows it, readers know it, story knows it. I know what I’m getting into, that comment about MC being slowly simmered alive like a frog is SPOT ON.

I’m here to watch MC being slowly and gentlemanly devoured by ML. ML will, I am SO SURE, he WILL eat MC out, starting with his own name on MC’s butt and this manhwa will END me when he does.

I read the released raws and, though the art is different, I can’t help but feel the new style fits Raga more than the original art. Shinru and Yuri’s story is less action based and more emotional, and there’s a lot to be conveyed with their expressions. Shinru looks very pretty and manly at the same time (the novel describes him as breathtaking) but he doesn’t look feminine. I felt it’s more in line with the feel of the novel.

Yuri on the other hand looks so gentle. The art may be different but it’s no less inferior - it’s delicate and lovely

Words can’t describe the sheer love I have for Yeonha. She is the opposite of timid and innocent, like many frail FLs in the shounen genre, but she’s also not all spitfire. She is loud and reactive, but she’s also kind and caring. The woman knows what she wants, and she strives for it.

She KNOWS that she can sometimes be too headstrong and communicates this with Jinho - the level of awareness she has of her strengths and flaws already put her leagues ahead of other cookie cutter FLs that only serve to be cardboard trophies to glorify the MCs.

Her assertiveness also brings out the HUMAN SIDE of Jinho and this is also why I don’t know what some of you are smoking when you say she is the worst FL - his cluelessness in the things of love balances well with Yeonha’s expertise in this area. Because of this, I get LOTS OF CUTE love scenes between them. SHE GETS IT, and Jinho doesn’t and this is where you should THANK her for being one of the most crucial pillars in his life that makes him human. That she is completely helpless in the martial arts world doesn’t mean she is useless; she is the top of her talents and skills in the acting industry and she is living her own life working and trying the best she could.

Yeonha is a breath of fresh air and Jinho could not have had a more perfect partner that brings out his best qualities, and remind us there is MORE to him than simply being a super OP catastrophic lord. It’s hilarious and lovable that the strongest man in the world could also be so timid (in a comedic way) in front of Yeonha.
