truth is, someone who does the murders that dan did in brutal cannot be a good person, not even an antihero. he was sick in that manga, just sick towards people we deemed okay. but yeah yall he drilled a machine in a man’s asshole, yeah he’s a psycho ?? these comments are killing me his actions were never defensible, just somewhat understandable but still wrong
Honestly everyone knew that... he's a crazy psycho and we loved him for that because he only ever directed it towards disgusting people. We just didn't think that he himself would to it to innocent people for his own pleasure, because they only ever show his intention as "doing good deeds" by killing bad people. Finding out about this manga made him seem like a hypocrite and ruined his character that's why everyone's surprised...
but he so clearly did enjoy doing it towards disgusting people, he never only did it out of morality. the polaroid pictures of the ‘perfect’ moment? the elaborate schemes and torture devices? he derived pleasure from it all, he was never selfless or doing it just to keep society in order. truth is, this is the next logical step for him. getting the expressions of the bad guys wasn’t enough for him, killing just bad people wasn’t enough for him, because it never just ends there i fear. the things he does is so twisted, that of course his morality would also become victim of this and become warped as well.
Most people were aware of the fact he was evil and that he killed for his own pleasure not for the sake of justice or some sort but he only targeted scum, that’s why people like him, he didn’t go after innocents but people who wronged others and weren’t punished enough by the system, that’s also why he considered it “good deeds” despite murder still being murder and never considered morally correct. People feel pleased/satisfied when they see bad people getting what they deserve, that’s why his disgusting actions and behavior are overlooked by many, or simply ignored. As the other person said, this spinoff ruined his character and made him become just like any other psychopath you find out there, yes, Dan’s morals might have been all over the place but he had never gone for good people, especially because if he did it would bring unwanted attention and could potentially lead to everything being blown out (idk I’m just assuming). My point is, it simply doesn’t make sense why he would be contradicting himself in this manga. I get the “killing just bad people wasn’t enough for him, because it never just ends there i fear” but it’s not like he was addicted to killing or any sort, just like mugs, killing is just another hobby of his that he practices during his free time, not something he’s driven by.
Another thing I would like to mention is his eye twitching; whenever someone is talking about the so-called bad people his eye twitches as if it was some sort of trigger, so i think that also plays a role on who he chooses to kill, making it make no sense as to why he would target people who didn’t do anything.
the best dynamic is when the seme/ML starts off cocky and thinking he isn’t the relationship type, only to fall miserably in love and be the one who loves the uke/mc way more, and becomes the yearner. that shit hits every time, if anybody has any recs with this type of trope plssssss tell me
they match each others freak sooo well, no matter how much yujin pretends he’s the normal, vanilla one in the relationship. it’s so perfect lol i love them, baddd

this is so peak…i kept putting this off and not reading it bc rape in my romances piss me the fuck off but if you have been wanting to read this, you MUST. it’s insanely tooth rotting and heartwarming for a relationship that started off so bad! and it makes sense why the ml was so deranged, this bitch is not human at all lol it’s fun seeing him learn that yeah, the news of his brother dying would devastate him and not cheer him up omg
