i just read some spoilers and yall lemme rant for a sec
i'm so upset and disappointed over the MLs. there are multiple, but the king is the main ML and as we all know, they all had a hand in her death. i just find it so upsetting that they were willing to kill an innocent person just to protect the saint and her position, whom my impression of has incredibly soured. i may have understood the phrasing the wrong way, but she allegedly "closed her eyes (figuratively)" when they decided to execute nina (but again, i'm not sure if it was her or beato who said it), but my point is, she just let them execute the person who helped her escape from the castle, only to be forgotten and imprisoned for 3 years just because nina with her divine power was identified as a "spare" saint who would potentially threaten the the saint's position. what really ticks me off is that the pope himself requested the king to execute nina over the same reason, all to protect the saint. you would expect a lot more from a pope being the very head of the church but nooo all we get are fucking selfish people who can kill innocent people without hesitation. like fuck no i don't fucking care whether she's the pope's sister or the reincarnation of the 1st saint, my point is that you sacrificed the life of an innocent person who probably doesn't even know the real reason why she was being executed, as far as i know all she knew is that she committed grave sin by letting the saint escape.
i especially hate the king who allowed all this to happen. like no fuck you for killing her for the sake od the woman you love what kind of fucking shitty king are you?? they could've just sent her entirely elsewhere and avoid bloodshed ?? like, how difficult is it to negotiate with a person who's actually willing to listen, or in their case since they're assholes, literally just pronounce her dead and make her quietly live somehwere ????? WHAT WAS THE POINT IF THE SAINT WAS GOING TO LOSE HER POWER ANYWAY YALL ARE DIPSHITS
so yeah, i literally hate everyone in this manhwa except beato because he at least had the decency to feel guilty after recommending her execution as well, and maybe alec too but maybe that's because i just didn't get to read spoilers on him but i guess that's great, we have one less selfish asshole.
