Someone brings up Claude in the comments... Claude did nothing and never physically abused her if I remember right (I haven’t read the story in a long time) all he did was ignore her (and was cursed?). The MC was also not the real daughter, unlike the MC in this story who experienced physical abuse from him, the death of her father from him, and losing her prestige and baby because of him. So fuck him. Thank goodness there are only a handful of stories where the MC is brainless and goes back to someone who abused them to that degree. I dropped this story at around 80-90 because I read spoilers that she chooses him and I felt literal disgust. Where is your self-respect? I only checked the latest chapter out of curiosity and now I still say: fuck him for not granting her freedom even in her second life. For not respecting her wishes and ignoring her request.

But the MC here was physically abused by the ML and was given a second chance to escape from the abuse so it is still her and she still has all her bad memories. Meanwhile with Claude, all he did was ignore her and his real daughter is gone. So technically, he’s loving someone else now. So even if the original was ignored, the current Athy hasn’t experienced anything so she isn’t traumatized much. But it’s stories like this one where traumas are taken and skimmed over with “love conquers all” even when the man destroys your life, your child, your parent, etc.

that doesnt change anything. claude used black magic to forget his lover and his child. he neglected the baby and abandoned his responsibility as a parent + killing her when she grew older. it doesnt matter if the soul in his child is different (which it isnt. the soul just forgot its memories) it wont change the fact that claude still chose to do that on his own accord. why does trauma have to be weighed? trauma doesnt play a role in his sins because he still wouldve done them had circumstances been different. it wouldnt change the person he really is - a man who only cares about his conveniences. honestly people are just justifying him cause of his character design and scenarios with his child

absolutely agree, one of the reasons I slowly dropped that one is because I realized the same thing. However, even though he abandoned his responsibilities as a parent, personally, I cannot grow to like this ML in this story because had he chosen to ignore her in her first life (such as the ML in Dr. Elise), I would’ve been content with their current relationship. However, she went through so much abuse from the ML and all I can think of is Stockholm syndrome for when she embraces his love in this lifetime. For Claude, yes Athy was ignored and that left a trauma on her, but I think the reason that she forgave him was because he was her parent. So basically, there was a connection and she’s a child. Meanwhile here, this man has no connections with her except manipulating her and destroying her life. He was her first love, but even love (realistically) has a limit to how much you’d turn a blind eye. I just can’t fathom how she could consider him as a love interest after all the shit he pulled. Logically speaking, it was very well-portrayed when she was afraid of him because that happens with victims of abuse when meeting their abusers. Falling in love with them???? Not so much and that’s when the story took a shitty turn for me.

i personally dont have anything against ruve because he's not who he was anymore and fsr i just like the vibe he gives off as a character. but i still do question their love lives. like why wasnt it explained how tia fell in love with him in the first timeline at least? that could answer alot of questions if it was reasonable enough. he's definitely handsome and capable, but is that enough for tia to love him so much? ruve's a tragic character that deserves sympathy so i wont stand for it if people will judge him for mistakes the present him never did nor will ever do. but as a love interest, it doesnt make much sense from a psychological perspective.
it honestly wouldve been better if the story's route was directed towards tia becoming the marquess and being a female figure of power and independence. allen's psychotic, carsein isn't her cup of tea, and ruve is better off healing himself. the story had the potential to not have a love interest but alas it doesnt work that way

İ agree about Claude. He is definitely not good parent but at least we can kind of understand how heavy it was lost to his wife. Still not excuse but we can not say he is psycho. He was in anger attackes and made terrible choices. But still we can see his true chrachter when he started to interacy with Athy.
İ won't forgive him to what he have done to Athy but I would tolarete it if in future he makes Athy smile more. His faults doesn't consist of sexual abuse, torture ,killing... So he does have chance for me.

Yes ,i am in love with that kind of stories. İ have a list in my profile you can find more than 140 stories with strong (or kinda strong female leads). They are really hard to find. İ am not even feminist but it triggers me to see crybaby girl while boys are "heros". They should take account that woman can be mentally strong too.

This was all so confusing and that the author didn’t bother to think of a legitimate reason for the sister’s disappearance so the seme just said “I can’t tell you right now” in a one shot is lazy writing. Not to mention, if my sister was missing for over two years, I would freak out not continue to think about fucking my brother in law.
I read this all in one go and all I can say, is fuck the brother. Not just for being a creep, but because he’s been impersonating Yul’s voice and stealing his song credits. I hate that type of scum the most, especially when they know the other party involved is helpless
He's not even his brother. He heard Yul singing for the first time, decided he wanted to keep him to himself. Then he "saved" yul from his abusive father and is now abusing and using yul himself.
