It’s not hypocrisy because “we” isn’t everyone. I personally hate cancel culture because it’s considering someone at fault until proven innocent which is fxcked up. It’s not Justice, people are just happy to latch out at someone and feel superior or they act out on emotion and act like their judgement is enough basis to justify their sense of Justice.

Then how are you going to deal with the consequences once he is proven innocent? Oh suddenly you just shrug, maybe leave a little “sorry” if your pride is able to deal with that, or switch and try to act like you had doubts from the start or lament how sad and pitiful this all is. And then? So what? You still ruined an innocent person’s life just because you wanted to.

People sometimes really overstep their boundaries. This is definitely NOT acceptable. Supporting a victim is good and amazing, but bringing down and spitting at someone and ruining their lives without any proof of qualification to judge them for their possible crime is disgusting and hypocritical. It’s pushing someone’s mental health to a limit and make them feel isolated, gated, and voiceless. Make them feel disgusting and bring down their self-esteem. Without any backing.

So no. People shouldn’t be harassing him or anyone else without any proof. And even so, no one deserves to be pushed around like this. Victims have the right for support and criminals will get the punishment they deserve, humiliating them is just showing a poor character and killing someone’s dignity. It’s disgusting and unjustifiable.

How are YOU, the “we” you speak of, going to then help those who are dealing with how YOU have brought down, pushed to self-harm, killed, because of your pitiful unqualified self-sense of Justice?

Cancel culture is disgusting. Everyone should be innocent until proven not, not the opposite.

And in seungmins case it is almost as if its proven bc neither party (victim and the culprit) is saying anything when photos of seungmin “assaulting” the actress went viral. NO ONE speaks up for him so if you aren’t suspicious of the rumored one (irl) pls get out of my replies section since thats VERY concerning. And i said WE not bc I made mean comments about him on social media and irl but bc i nodded my head when i saw criticism about him online. Nonetheless, if you were a biased fan of celebrity during the time ofsuch allegations , EW.

That is not the point of my comment. The point of my comment is that cancel culture is to judge one as guilty until proven innocent and how the general audience reading stuff from online who don’t know either party and only know the circumstances through gossip media act as if they have the right to play judged. Take the Amber Heard drama where she made everyone including multiple judges believe that she was a victim of domestic abuse, leading to Johnny Depp being harassed and losing countless acting jobs like his Captain Sparrow role with dissent. And then what? Suddenly there are leads coming out showing that the roles could have been reversed and the entire time the internet was bashing the victim of said domestically abuse.

My point? That it would be better for people to play a supporting role for the victim and stop acting like they know it all and harass suspects as if they were already guilty. Does that make you any less human? No. I’m saying stop freaking caring, just care about the alleged victim, that would create less consequences if it ends up they aren’t really a victim or at least the suspect is found to be innocent.

Also this has nothing to do with “suspicion”. You can have your own ideas of what might’ve happen, you may nod reading gossip that sound like it make sense, once again, that is not my point. My point is cancel culture and harassing is just purely disgusting in any context.

Depp presented proof that he was in fact the one getting abused and thats why everyone switched up so fast. No one wants an asshole to succeed in life while they make others suffer. Ofc then society will try and “cancel” that particular person :D
