gotchya but I was already writing so much i left details out, but they wanted to respect Avery's father who wanted to spare his father's feelings. He'd be crushed to find out his daughter was trying to kill his son... like he wouldn't be dead if she succeeded? also she killed the older brother, so yeah gramps need a reality check. also gramps respecting his son's wishes is kinda creating his whole mess, had he sought out his grandaughter and recognized her openly this would have been avoided.... the stupid just oozes from every character, so sad because it seemed so interesting at the start.
