ah ok, written text no intonations, sorry. Yes it was there the whole time... was annoying enough so I justified it as that, but then no... I've seen 2D chars with bandages before to help distinguish them, I guess... but she's the lead so that was strange... if you can't tell the lead except by the bandage then that's not very good.

Don't know if this is answering your question, but to summarise, the last few chapters were of the reason why shuli died, how she died and the consequences of her death from the past.
Regarding the kids' behaviours, they were always like this, both in her "present life" and "past life". The only difference was they hadn't cleared their misunderstandings, and therefore, weren't open/direct with one another. Resulting in Shuli believing that the kids didn't need or want her.

and @Athy-Obelia - yes I appreciate it, thank you... so it is a flashback of sorts anyway... and I guess before we had her view of the kids' attitude towards her which I guess we see now wasn't as extreme? that might explain their "different behaviour" and make it have sense as a flashback as if she really died it kinda would make the series end here (also confused by the Epilogues if it's just season 1)
usually I am "nuh huh, nope, don't care if they are not blood related they are being like siblings and doing family stuff that's siblings feelings getting mixed in there" but these two were never like siblings, they didn't grow up together and they were still not really trusting each other till recently, so I'm pretty ok with it
