Since ML has the emotional development of a preteen, most conversations outside of the bedroom involve him becoming furious at her, obsessing over her, or giving her the cold shoulder. He's so delusional about the idea of "highborn bride" he doesn't notice her reactions or actual needs. It's almost comedic.
And you can guess what FL is like :D... A pushover queen, in the never-ending tunnel of low self-esteem...
I can say both of their character development is near to non since this is their average day: They have sex, ML leaves the bedroom and FL continues her day as she gets insecure about ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.
I can't see their relationship as romantic... I feel like the story is popular just bc ML looks like that but that was going downhill too. Like in every chapter, his head getting smaller while his torso reaching galaxy-level big. :'D

It’s a slow burn, you might be better to read through the novel on RIDI. It’s an amazing story.

If there’s one thing I dislike, it’s a FL with low self-esteem. Maxi has too much of it.

I'm used to slowest burns, believe me. This is not slow, it's the definition of dragging a story.

I actually thought they dropped the Manwha because it’s been taking so long. Lol. In comparison the toon is so far behind where the novel ended. WHOLE arcs behind. Great arcs but so so so far behind. I get wanting to wait, I was waiting almost a year for the original author to finish the freaking story after a “hiatus”. I did enjoy it however, but I can understand that it is not for everyone. Meanwhile I am re-reading a book series in tandem that the next book doesn’t come out til’ January. I’m either a masochist or a moron! ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

Hmmm, I wouldn't say so. The male lead does heavily pursue the female lead and takes advantage of her kindness with the downside of his power, but he doesn't really force her to have sex. He tries to treat her with respect bc he wants to win her heart too.

it honestly is still rapey even if she consented. i'm not entirely sure but he fucked her while they were on their way to his country and she seemed to be asleep. seducing her slowly when she clearly had no intention to even be in a relationship, much more a sex relationship is still rape. she tells him to stop because she wants to sleep already but he kept fucking her. that is rape.

I remember the novel being so brutal about it, he carried her like a corpse while nobody knew. And in every opportunity he could find, he raped her while she is saying no and it was like that for a long long time.

Like I understand that he may be anxious/ overexcited bc this is his first relationship after getting divorced but this whole notion of a man and woman can’t be friends, that it always leads to something more (and therefore is something to be instantly jealous of) is just a sucky mentality to have in general bc it tells me at least, that you just see people around you as fuck potential and not actual human beings that have the ability to form mere platonic and profession relationships which is an Ick itself.
