I'm hibernating this for ages, stopped reading it at the start of the past arc and really want to return now but not at the middle of the drama What do you guys think how many chapters are left until the ending?
The only thing that concerns me is that the character profile states he is incredibly pure. Those types are always irritating, in most of the cases the source of their purity is that their brain is dead, at least he seems to be intelligent.
I wonder when the Korean version will come back, it's on break since end of March. If they go with a half a year of break, one thing is that I'm not sure whether I would be still alive when it ends (haha) but the other thing us I will be anxious if there is still no news in the upcoming days...
What I miss from those scenes that were left out was Helios giving Diana his last mercy, namely to choose between divorce or having an heir. The old king had a heartfelt talk with her and Kaelus sent her away very harshly when she went to him with her problem. It was a turning point for Diana. I think this fits more to her personality that the evil hysteria they put in the manhwa.

From the very beginning Diana wasn't fit to be a royal. She was inflexible and too narrow-minded. But she wasn't a lunatic or evil, there was no need for this change the manhwa did to her character. I think the ending she had in the novel fit her the best, until the very end, she was devoted to the dying king and then returned to the church. Originally she was a pure and righteous character who was very devoted to the poor and ill commoners, but even when she fell from the pinnacle, she didn't turn evil. These changes defiled the novel.
I respect your point of view but I personally don’t think is totally true in the novel she didn’t feel bad about what she did to Kaelus , she also said Kaelus will choose her, she always thought she was special not humble more like attention seeker…, my impression of the novel character isn’t that different of the manuha character, she is selfish by nature, power just reveals it more…
That sort of ending is not realistic i prefer the one of the manwa more. Being narrow minded and inflexible is not a flex when you are in power and you are in charge of others humans life and in reality people like do more wrong than good and this chara development suit this type of attitude the best she is selfish and she has always done good to people so that she can praised and stay special it. She had done such bad thing to other peole kael and even others comoners and we have seen the consequences of her actions purely. That is my broad minded view of her and her attitude and people like her IRL

Yeah, I agree that part, that's why I wrote she wasn't fit to be a royal and was inflexible and narrow-minded. Kaelus went and poisoned the political rivals of the king. As a soon to be royal, she should've understand he did it for the greater good and even she didn't like it, at least she could've shut up but instead she lectured him with her high morals and turned away from him. She could do this as a saint, it's not like she needs to forgive murder but not as someone who will once be the queen. Until the very end she didn't truly understand why others believe what she did was not good. It was well pictured when she talked to Kaelus and he said you believed what you did was right and I believe what I did was right, there is no point to talk about this anymore. Her biggest flow was that she believed she is morally superior to everyone thus she was unable to bow her head and learn.

Eeeeh...I don't like this change. It is way easier when there is a god who personally gives an answer for all your insecurities. Reminds me on the movie Constantine, when the archangel told him "No, you KNOW that god exists! That's different!" compared to people who don't know but still believe in god's existence. In the novel, Hestia faced all her insecurities herself. And overcame them herself. Yes, she got some help from Helios but he only helped her to think deeper of herself and the whole situation. For me, it was more substantive than this.
You're so right. The webtoon removed the aspect of uncertainty, of not having answers to why thing/tragedy happened to us, with the introduction of a God. That uncertainty is what makes the novel grounded to reality despite the setting being a fantasy, which bums me because they should've just went through the route of expressing the emotions of going through tough times and literally questioning your existence without having the correct answer, but instead, they made it comedic. It's already there when they changed the balcony scene with Hestia's outburst, but they just had to do the God thing. Then again, they're probably rushing to the end since I saw a comment that the webtoon ended at chapter 113 when I think the story went longer than that.
Highly likely...I just saw the next chapter and I have a feeling they'll even change Diana's 'last mercy' too.
I wish the upcoming drama woul end within 1 chapter and the remaining 2 would be them being lovey-dovey.
