the father ( Duke Parvis ) we can't say he's an evil dad or good dad.
It's hard to describe it, as the head of the Parvis family he has to uphold "neutrality".
He won't interfere with her children's affairs, but on the other hand, he couldn't give her children love/ affection as a father either.
And in the ending, cosset destroys half of humanity and the sprits are angry.

Neutrality means not interfering or taking sides. So as a parvis, the father really could not do anything. He can't side with either good or bad.
Besides, when Cosette appeared, the people rejected Keira. They died because of the devil, not the father. This was meant to happen the moment they started discriminating against Keira. They always feared her anyway and misunderstood her simply because she was a cold person who doesn't show her emotions and sometimes when she looks at others it feels like she glared at them. The high society was all about being in the good graces of the spirit user. Cosette resembles her dad so everyone prefers to believe she's the real one and since she is friendly they approach her to get benefits and also sides with her. They got what was coming for them.
When he returned the time, it was not because he was sorry, but for the sake of "Parvis" (spirit user) which is important for the empire, even though there was a little "sadness".
So if Zeke and Keira stay in that family and become successors, they will turn to be like their fathers, they should be "neutral" because they're Parvis. So it's no wonder they choose to go.

He knows FL is in pain yet he doesn't do anything. I know she's scared for my life but the fact she said something selfish makes me happy. Like dude.

The plot is really good. But wtf is with the atmosphere and the characters. None of this makes sense. Is she trying to manipulate the emperor. Why did the redhead character say nobody was seriously gonna kill her when the brown hair guy is clearly trying to kill her. Why did she hang of the balcony in heels? Why did she hang out of the balcony in the first place, if she wasn't scared of the emperor. Why was she scared of the brown-haired guy?Why is she mad when the Emperor didn't save her, like the dude laughs when he kills does she really think that he would save her. What's with the kid that came into her room. Like isn't she the future empress why is a random kid coming into her room? Honestly, this story is confusing and its only 5 chapters.

The red hair character probably said that to ease the fl nerves and also because if they tried to harm the fl they will be punished by the emperor because the fl is his fiancée.
The hung out on the balcony because two men was trying to kill her and do you really think she have the time to change/take off shoes when two men walked into her room to kill her. The only thing on her mind is survival not her feet.

Sure he catches her but he basically lowkey a hypocrite since he told people not to harm his fiancée but when she was gonna get killed and he knew they was in her room trying to kill her he did nothing to stop it.
That kid was probably either a test, maid, or they sneaked in to express their hatred for the future empress and her kingdom. Also just because she is the future empress the people wouldn’t accept her or respect her because she is the princess of the kingdom they hate that ruined their lives and killed their family and friends.

No, manipulation has to do with using another's mental state, or their emotions to get what you want, often at the harm of the one being manipulated. What she is doing is surviving. She realizes that she would not live unless she is able to get the prince to protect her, but she's not trying to use his feelings to do so. As far as she knows he doesn't have feelings and he's insane. As for her being mad, it's a natural response to be mad when promised that you won't be harmed, and yet the one person who made that promise won't back it up. At any rate you obviously didn't read this story because all of this is blaringly obvious. I suggest that you choose something else to read as this seems above your comprehension level. That means it's too hard for you to understand.
You can manipulate ppl without the victim being in a bad mental state or having to use emotions. E.g. in a business meeting a person can manipulate the people they're trying to get a business deal with by the way the present themselves, the project and their way of wording. There's literally media manipulation, stock market manipulation etc. Also this isn’t to defend anyone, just talking about the fact emotional manipulation isn’t the only way to manipulate ppl or a situation.
You gave examples of perception and influencing in part of that. Perception is using how people perceive you to influence their opinion of you. Now when is comes to stocks, those that don't do their part in checking out the broker firm and stock info are asking to be deceived, but manipulation is different. When you manipulate you use all of these as well as flat out lies and even use physical, emotional, or mental abuse to get what you want. And the person who is being manipulated is either always hurt by that truth, or they are so damaged that they can't live with out it and will admit to knowing they are being manipulated but do not care as long as the manipulator stays with them. A person cannot be manipulated unless they have some mental or emotional weakness that can be prayed upon. Those that influence the stock market or prey on the elderly, they have a target, they use their looks and their words to gain trust and then they use that trust to gain them money. Not everyone that influences our choices are what they seem, but that is because we perceive them like that. Those that take advantage of our perception to deceive us and use us for their advantage at our expenses, those are manipulators. So again, she is not manipulating him, she is trying to survive. If she was manipulating him she would know how to talk to him a d how to act. As it is she's trying to stay below the radar and she keeps letting her temper get the best of her. If she knew how to manipulate him she would not be so scared for her life, because she could have made him kill the men trying to kill her, rather than being tested by him. There is a difference between manipulation and simply trying to survive. She is adjusting to what she thinks he wants of her so that she can live. This is typical of those that are afraid or have been abused but can't or won't leave the abuser. Even a small child knows the difference.

But I do stand on the fact that there are many types of manipulation that does not use people’s emotions or vulnerability, like you were saying with perception. The same way a person can manipulate someone using emotions just verbally which could lead to gaslighting, someone could use the same methods (not as extreme as gaslighting) to manipulate people but using other means that are not to do with emotions or vulnerabilities but instead greed and the person's wants. The manhwa shadow queen is a good example where she manipulates some of the people around her so she can gain revenge, not using emotional tactics. E.g. her curly haired maid, has a large interest in money and the mc uses that and is friendly with her so that a certain bitch wouldn’t get suspicious. So unknowingly the maid is doing her a favour.
Um what? Sadly you missed the parts that are actually confusing. Such as why the fing emperor knew she was being attacked by his knights but then had the audacity to wonder why she didn't call for the guards? Uh is he fing 's*****'? The confusing part also includes why she didn't address that point even if it was just in her thoughts. There's many examples of such scenarios that are actually confusing.
She's not pretending to like him. What she said she likes about him is the truth and she isn't pretending she likes him beyond that.
