I thought I was the only who did this

I find the romantic ml unrefined and somewhat of an ass because he doesn't take a hint, but the FL is the same too she doesn't realize she likes him yet and I think a lot of people don't realize that.

I'm honestly not a huge fan of her either. At the very start of the story her plan was to trick a man to marry her so she could leave the country and live a fairly good life with luxury, but enter the male lead and she's suddenly taking the moral high ground as if she never thought of doing it in the first place.

Its not like she would have slept with and married the other guy (forget his name) because she was in love with him. He might have been forced to marry her out of obligation too. She was doing it out of convenience. But she'll resist the ml at every turn even after it looks like she's in love with him to further the plot.

I mean ngl *looks sideways* would fuck the hot guy (づ￣ ³￣)づ XD but I don't think she ever took high moral ground? its always been a grey area, I mean when she was kind it was to either get something or help her brother or somebody she cared about. I also think a lot of people forgot that right now she's still only seeing her own body's attraction to the romantic ML (she denies feeling becuz cooties lol) and she think that this whole scheme is just part of their contract.

In a way, she did take the moral high ground. He offered her luxury and she said something along the lines of I only take what I earn? Can't remember if that's the exact wording but it carries the same meaning. Because what she initially wanted was someone with money who'll marry her and take her away but since its the male lead she's acting differently. I wish the writer gave her a different motivation in the beginning or shifted it so what she does later on makes sense. Its supposed to further the romance maybe but I can't take how she acts sometimes likes she's forgotten what she set out to do in the beginning, its never even brought up again as far as I read, I stopped somewhere around ch50 and skipped to the last chap because I lost interest in the story.

I'd read just about anything honestly, but a story with a protective/possessive male lead would be nice, its what I'm currently searching for.

Uhmm from what I understood, Duroa thought that Nocton was the real ML from the original story (meaning the novel she read) which was actually Aaron (aka "Ed"). She thought that because her memories of her past life was incomplete due to her reading the novel 3yrs before she died.

Well of course, now in Duroa's reincarnated life, I do believe Nocton is the ML ლ(´ڡ`ლ) ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

So what u r saying is the the ml of the story she reincarnated into is Aaron. But in Duroa's reincarnated person of the story the male lead is Nocton.

Gee this whole time I shipped Duroa with Notcon but started to think he was the villain. I was starting to panic lol. Thx for telling me, I would have died out of stress if u didn't. (⊙…⊙ )

Well we could put it this way, the original story is mainly about Ed and Alice with Duroa and Nocton being the villains. And now the story revolves more on Nocton and Duroa, making them the main characters here, and Aaron and Alice are the 2nd love team

Nocton now is still viewed as a villain because of his black magic and Alice's prophetic dreams. But I think the author is letting us see Nocton's side of the story which is hella cute (like that promise he made with Duroa made on not killing anyone). I just think he's not good at expressing his feelings and being totally honest. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

(That's just how I understood/interpreted the story as of the latest chapter, we still have to look forward to the next chapters for more clarification) (=・ω・=)

That the empress(mc) wasn't transported from the novel, she's still her, the tyrant Villainous empress, there some kind of magic (related to the girl in cloak) that makes the empress think that she was in the modern world..

so she's the same tyrant empress but magic was casted on her so in her head she was in a modern world where she read the novel and woke up as the same tyrant empress again?
