What can a women do when living in a patriarchal society, with only misogynistic men around her?? She is treated like nothing but a damsel and even when she tried to stick up for Eris or even the maid her words were never heard. So make it make sense.

That is deadass the whole point. Helena tried to tel the crown prince that it wasn’t Eris fault but he still went and slapped her. When the maid got in trouble by the crown prince, Helena once again tried to say it wasn’t her to blame but the maid got blamed anyway. Helena deadass said she could never be angry or mad at Eris so there isn’t anyway she would purposefully do anything to hurt her.

She is a women in a society that views them as nothing but damsels and she can be as loud as she wants but she is still a maid so not one person especially the men are going to listen.

I thought the same thing in the beginning too, but there was a part that said she went thru a lot of stuff where she tried to step in but the other party got punished more instead. So she just gave up and didn’t do anything afterwards.

I dont like Helena, but I dont hate her either.
She knows Eris situation, but like you said, she can't do anything.
But I respect the fact that even though Eris might do mean things to her, she would forgive her no matter what. That takes a lot. Although, I do get annoyed with some of the situations the girls get put through, like their forced tea party, or this one. Tru, I’ve actually didn’t think of that. But I bet the prince would try to use whatever means he could to find her again. And the people that “let her go” would prob all die.

From the trauma her mother instilled on her growing up and telling her she needs to be a damsel to be liked, to the men never listening to her when she does speak up. No matter if they are kissing her feet they don’t see her as a real person considering her words are always left unheard. When she witnesses them being outright rude to her, she always tried to help Eris. They usually do it when Helena isn’t here or in a way she wouldn’t understand since she herself grew up poor.

I get your take most definitely, I hate their society as well. But I love both girls because they are each others foils and that just makes them all the better.

ONG she never stood up for her even once or tried to speak up she just stood there watching like a useless damsel in distress. She never even attempted to stand up for the mc so how can you say that they never let her speak?

Leave as in do you mean leave the Crown prince? She can't escape her situation, the cp sees her as his** possession, and she has no place to go either. Saying sorry to eris doesn't help either, it might even seem condescending to her. Regardless, Helena is in a position where she is unable to do anything, and she has no other person on her side besides those wanting to "own" her as an object and not treat her as a person

She never did any labor work tho the prince always excused her from doing work which is why the other maids aren’t close with her and she was in place since she was child she grew up with everyone in like chapter 24-25 they talk about it

In one of the chapters when she was getting a confession she didn’t but she was about right before erise intersected the conversation and to the chapter that came out today wasn’t she suppose to come with the knight and it was said that she was there at the temple where erise was so she dropped the knight to go to the cp

Saying sorry is at least acknowledging and she never greets erise as a noble even when there alone everyone saying because she a maid and doesn’t know any better but she lived in the place and never bothered to pick it up she is choosing to be like this also she never acts like one nor a commoner (never does actually maid work mostly only sleeps where maids sleep)

So she talks about her mom in chapter 24-25 or 23-24 it one of those. And In both chapters 2-5 (since she doesn’t make many appearances yet) she tried to tel the crown prince that it was her fault and not to blame Eris and again in chapter 5 when he slapped her. She realized that she should’ve done more as well (the chapter where she apologized) but her past trauma and her position don’t let her do such a thing.

In the past before Eris was possessed by the current Eris(I forgot her name lol but the Korean girl), she scolded Helena for not greeting her as a noble in private, but in front of the Crown prince, eris told Helena to just greet her as a friend, hopefully that clears things up. Rmb, original Eris is seen as the villainess in the novel. Secondly, Helena isn't able to do maid work because she is at the beck and call of the prince and the prince scolded/slapped(because he is a dick) the head maid for giving Helena work to do. Thus, Helena has no work to do because the head maid is threatened basically to not give her work to do.

I don't think she goes to the cp I'd like to see it as the cp forces his way through her place and demands like the baby adult he is that Helena goes as his companion. Also the whole confession thing by Mr. Knight was disguised as a knight's vow by Knight dude. Eris knows this, because she read the novel. Helena doesn't, because she never read a novel.

SHE CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE SHE'S TRAUMATIZED BY WHAT HER MOTHER INSTILLED INTO HER SINCE A YOUNG AGE. THE CP LITERALLY SLAPPED THE HEAD MAID FOR GIVING HELENA WORK BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THE MAID WAS LOOKING DOWN AT HELENA FOR GIVING HER WORK EVEN THOUGH THAT'S LITERALLY HER JOB. Helena knows her place. She knows that anything she says isn't going to be acknowledged by the cp because he just wants her to look pretty and stay silent. Saying anything that could so call "benefit" eris isn't going to help either. The men around her are too shady to believe that eris has any redeeming qualities worth talking about by Helena of all people. They hate eris too much to give a flying fuck abt any good things Helena may have to say about her.
