Kaiser and Ness' relationship is complex. You are aware you can still be friends/best friends with someone who is mentally bad for you, right? Ness' perception of their relationship differs from Kaiser's. But saying that Kaiser doesn't care for Ness is just plain wrong.
It’s not complex, you’re making it complex to justify your delusions. Kasier was treated like scum so he treats others like scum. It’s that simple. I don’t think there’s one person that Kasier would consider a friend or loved one. Kasier is growing and my biggest concern now is that he will out grow Ness and no one will be there to help that poor kid. Also it may be because I binge read, but I just think it’s crazy how fast people moved on from Kasier throwing that drink in Ness face. Between that and Ness horrible childhood I’m just praying for the best.
I made a comment regarding the relationship of Kaiser and Ness. It's true that Kaiser abused Ness because that's how he was treated. What's not true is that their relationship isn't complex and that Kaiser doesn't care for Ness.
As someone who had a trauma bond with a previously close friend, what I had with her is incredibly similar to what Kaiser and Ness' relationship is. Saying that it's "just Kaiser hurting Ness" ignores their characters and complexities because people have multiple sides and the words "Kaiser abuses Ness", "Kaiser cares for Ness", and "Ness doesn't care what Kaiser does to him" can CO-EXIST. If you go back to previous chapters and read them thoroughly, you can see that in his own sick way, Kaiser "calms" down Ness during his outbursts.
Just finished the gambling arc and I think I’m going to pause again. I wanted to catch up, but this manga is extremely repetitive and the narrators/admins make it 10xs worse. The fake shock, reassessment, and self explanatory explanations are not necessary.

This about how the FL's mother met the FL's maid Anna at the ball and said she only came bc she wanted to talk to Anna. Then Anna is seen giving FL a cup of tea and FL says the tea tastes different than usual and it has been sometime since she tasted tea like that.
There is a spoiler that the FL is sick and her mother kept adding some medicine to her tea. The medicine is rare and only the Empress can give access to the medicine to the FL's mother. The Empress put a condition that FL has to marry her nephew if the FL's mother wants to keep recieving the medicine.
