i wouldnt say hes pathetic, but he is a bit... odd, compared to your usual op mc, i guess. but at the beginning yea, he can come off as 'pathetic' but i suggest you give it a try, he gets better and more likeable as a character as the story goes
I mean in the beginning a little bit I guess, but I like him more than the typical mc because he has an actual personality that is actually quite enjoyable
Pathetic? No no, I've read the novel until 148 and I haven't found him pathetic at all. Well, except for the first couple of chapters. He is though incredibly compassionate and he takes on way too much than what normal people would. He wants to save everyone or at least release them from their traumas. Some of the arcs are just beautiful, and really touches you. So yeah, it's definitely worth the read.
