Is it too much to ask for an organic development of feelings from the FL? Tbh she just comes across as a groomer for me. Like, here's a kid who had been abused his whole life and just once, a stranger shows him kindness. He decides that she's someone he respects and wants to look up to. Yet she had other things in mind, such as grooming him into her husband. How could he refuse when he owes him his life? This naive child who needs at this time a parent figure that can guide him, not romance! Her premise kinda grosses me out even if she's objectively kind and unmalicious in her actions.
not really since the ML reject the elf first, that means to me atleast that the ML knows what he want to achieve first and that is to be an adventurer, and some people are attracted to the people they admire i dont see it as a bad thing as long as they dont push it fast and just let it come together naturally..
It still feels gross to look at a child with romantic interest...I just wish him to have a parental figure who could support him so I'm disappointed with how strongly she came on to him

ML is a mom friend! My favorite trope! Usually those are relegated as a second character so I'm happy that it's an ML for once! And FL is also not typical, she's got a cute personality so far and not at all annoying.
As for dragon-sympathizers, I understand what you mean, I really do. But the way he does things...it's just quite burdensome, you know? His feelings. It's not necessarily for Sena, he likes her for what she stands for: her role. So it feels shallow. He's pushing his ideals and expectations on to her and does not even bother to really look at her in the eye.
I guess Keith was also overbearing but for some reason it doesn't feel the same as the dragon. It's more...organic? And if it's not obvious by now I am firmly Keith camp so there's that.
If dragon was ML, this would just be another typical shoujo crap where the weak FL just goes along with the domineering ML. Blarrrrgh.

I find him pretty rare. He's refreshing compared to the usual manly or edgy main character trope. He also retains a cute amount of purity while at the same time being aware of some pervy things without it being a focal characteristic of his personality. It's just perfectly balanced, he's super cute.
100% agree! i love that he decided he was going to treat her the same, regardless of what she looked like (or i mean, love goltarou) but acknowledged that he would be flustered if she clung to him. i often hate female characters but goltarou makes every cut
